I’m still not sure what to think of the ghost box. I will admit, I’ve heard some pretty interesting things that seem relevant to both the conversation and the situation with ghost boxes. I’ve also had what felt like conversations. But could I just be hearing what I either want to or think I hear? I do think that is a definite possibility.
Still, ghost boxes are fun to play with. The ghost box used on this session is a Jensen SAB-55 hack, which is a little teeny arm band radio. It was connected to small portable MP3 speakers. I made the entire setup for under $20 in about five minutes. Instructions are here. You may need headphones to hear some of the quieter responses.
I will post the session. Listen a few times, see what you hear and then scroll down to see what I thought I heard in the session. A little background – this was captured up at Wellington with NWPIA. I was out on the overlook with my husband and a Paranormal Underground site member (skeerdycat, who will be writing about her experience in our October issue of the magazine). NWPIA members were in the snow shed using a laser grid. The lasers are the lights discussed in the session. The two female voices you hear talking are me and Skeerdycat.

Scroll down to see what I hear.
9 sec – “we’re in danger” (Man’s voice)
11 sec – another voice repeats “danger”
13 sec – another voice “danger”
19 sec – a voice says something I can’t understand but sounds like it ends with “light”
26 – another voice repeats “danger”
35 – a voice says “Karen”
36 sec a voice says “yep” after I ask, “Are the lights dangerous to you?”
1:07 – a voice says “yep” when I ask, “Would you like them to stop using the lights?”
1:15 – a voice says “please”
1:23.5 – a voice says “thank you” after I say, “I’ll go turn this off and tell them.”

This has been posted for a while, but is definitely interesting evidence and I’m feeling lazy today. Take a look.
These two EVPs are both from Wellington. The first was captured in late July on the overlook. We were on the overlook setting up a toy train for the child ghost (that is the clicking you hear in the background). We had a video recorder running at the same time, and it doesn’t show up on the video – only on this audio recorder. We had three other audio recorders running at the same time, and it isn’t on any of those, either.
The song you hear has been around since the 1830s. The avalanche at Wellington was in 1910, and the town disappeared off of the map in 1930.
The next audio anomaly was captured in the parking lot. One of the reports at Wellington is the sound of singing in the parking lot.
And finally, a video clip that sounds like a disembodied laugh from when we were with the kids at Wellington in July. You may need headphones to hear the laugh.

As EVPs go, this one is pretty quiet. It’s a class B at best, most likely a class C. It’s a whisper, and I’m not fond of whispers unless they are very clear. Good headphones are suggested.
So why am I sharing it with you? For starters, I captured it just last night at Wellington. We spent the evening there with NWPIA and a team from West Coast Ghost Hunters. The guys from WCGH had never been to Wellington before, and it is always a joy to watch others discover what an amazing place Wellington is.
In the EVP, you will hear Jayme ask something about a child and then a whisper. The name that I hear in the whisper is one that has been captured more than once at Wellington – often in conjunction with kids. I’ll post my EVP from last night, and then I’ll post the other EVP I have with the name in it – actually the very first EVP I ever captured at Wellington.
So here’s the whisper from last night:
childname
First Wellington EVP I ever captured with the same name in it:
Do you hear the same name in both? Other investigators have also captured the same name in EVP.
Here’s my question. Did I hear that name in the EVP from last night because I’ve heard it before? Am I recognizing a pattern rather than actually hearing the name? Or is there something to it?
I’d love to hear what you guys think. As always, post your thoughts in comments.

This week’s Evidence of the Week comes from Wichita Paranormal Research Society (www.wichitaparanormal.com). This EVP was captured during an investigation of the Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita, Kansas.
This EVP was captured under “interesting” circumstances. The WPRS investigator left his recorder going while taking a bathroom break, and captured the following EVP after leaving the bathroom and going to change over the team’s DVD.
So, keep your recorders on folks! You never know what you might capture . . .
Let us know what you think of this EVP. At first you’ll hear footsteps of the investigators on the floor. But keep listening. What do you hear?

Waverly Evidence Video: CLICK HERE
This video shows about 1-1/2 minutes of my footage at Waverly Hill Sanatorium in August 2008. We are on the second floor videotaping a blue ball that we found in the hall. I had just set the camera down on the floor to make it easier to see the ball’s movement, which had been going on for at least a few minutes at that point.
I was at Waverly along with two women who invited me to tag along with them, Dacie Dale and her Aunt Roberta. We thought we were dealing with the little boy spirit named Timmy who is said to haunt Waverly. Dacie and her Aunt Roberta, who Dacie says is psychic, said it was actually two spirits, a male named Michael and a female named Sarah.
Why is the ball moving? I don’t know. The wind was not blowing at the time, but that does not rule out that particular explanation. It is possible a subtle breeze was blowing that we could not detect. What do you think?
This week’s evidence of the week comes from our good friends Bert and Jayme Coates at NWPIA. This is Jayme’s favorite EVP from Wellington. She and Bert were there alone and saying their good-byes to the spirits there when they captured this EVP.
Wait for ussss

This week’s evidence comes to us from EVP specialist Medea Aguiar-Light. You can barely hear it with the naked ear – headphones will be better. According to Medea, this was captured at a notoriously haunted bar in Snohomish, Washington. Thanks, Medea!

A couple of years ago, I was able to investigate the Villisca Axe Murder House with a few of my friends, Liz, Bri, Joyce, and Mike, and while we had some great personal experiences, we weren’t able to verify those experiences as paranormal.
We did get one picture that, while very cool-looking, we couldn’t verify as either paranormal or normal. What do you think?
The above photo shows the back of Liz’ shirt and something zooming either to or from the shirt from off-camera. Of course we’ve debated this picture back and forth, comparing it to bugs, dust, etc., but we’re just not sure.
Please weigh in with your thoughts!

This evidence comes from our friends at NWPIA. If you’ve heard me talk on any radio shows about Wellington, then you’ve heard me mention NWPIA’s video that they captured that they believe may be of one of the child spirits at Wellington. They have a video posted on their website and on YouTube, but I thought I’d post it here, as well:
Here’s a digital still of the image that peeks out from behind the pole:

In this week’s paranormal evidence, Jim, Tanner and I seem to recently have run across a concerned ghost. We didn’t realize he was concerned at the time, but certainly after the fact we heard him. The clip was captured outdoors with a slight breeze blowing, which you will hear as background noise.
There were three of us present – me, Jim and Tanner. There was no one else in the area. On the recording, you will hear Jim say “Ow!” Then you will hear another voice expressing concern over his injury. At the very end, you’ll hear my son Tanner start to say something. So three male voices. The one in the middle was not one we heard at the time.
Here’s what I hear: “Oh, dear. Did it hurt?”
What do you hear?
