Hello,
My name is Mike Hann.I live in the mountains of Northern California, USA. I am planing to visit Peru around November 2012. I have contacted the Peruvian Embassy in the USA and it seems very difficult to find out who to get scientific contact info from down there.
I am doing self study in the paranormal. I have an Associate Degree in Electronics. Have worked with electronics and computers for about 15 years.
I am an amateur paranormal investigator. I have yet to find any hard evidence. But feel it may be like fishing. Just because you do not catch fish does not mean fish are not there. Especially when according to scientist’s there, claim there are fish there. I have completed two courses in paranormal investigations with groups here in the USA. Would be willing to work with any scientifically reputable paranormal groups there in Peru or from anywhere.
I am not affiliated with any organizations at all at this point.
I am going to try and collect scientific data with a camcorder, digital recorders, simple temperature measurements of the Lanzon by Chavin. Would like to set up a small tent nearby. I have very simple equipment. I can not afford expensive instruments for experiments.
I watched an episode of GHI (Ghost Hunters International) who did an investigation there. I am open minded but also skeptical.
What bothers me is that they only spent 1 night there. I would like to stay at least 3 or more nights there collecting information. My study would be completely non invasive. I will give you copies of any and all information I gather there or anywhere I go in Peru if you choose to help . My studies would be mostly at night so it may not interfere with archaeological studies that are ongoing.
I am not rich by any means, I am slightly disabled but am ambulatory and almost recovered. I am retired and have a lot of time. I would also be willing to help with the archaeological or other scientific studies in the area if needed QUID PRO QUO. But have no real experience in that field I must admit. Not afraid to get my hands dirty though.
If you know anyone who might be interested please contact me. If you have any simple experiments that you think might reveal the possible explanation of what sounds and electromagnetic fields and charges that seem to exist there are and any
Scientific facts I would be interested in hearing about them.
My interests are primarily of the various Electromagnetic Fields,Electrical Charges and audio/visual claims of the Lanzon, that seem perplexing and unexplained.
Unexplained phenomena in the area reported by archaeological scientist’s, seem to exist there. Would be nice to know what if any other scientific studies that have been done there so as to not repeat already established test but maybe to give further data that might help to explain what is going on there.
I am sure some scientist’s will think I am naive but I am driven to investigate this further.
I want to visit Machu Picchu, the Markawasi and the Puma Punka in Bolivia area as well. And do similar experiments. Not sure if I will be able to afford to travel to those area but I am looking into it.
I am at the point of trying to get a rough draft schedule started on my calender. Places where I will stay and for how long. I would not mind staying in Peru for up to 2 months if I can afford it. I plan to stay in hostels and ride rented motorcycles around to areas that are accessible. Unless I can find a guide that can help. I will be carrying only a back pack and tent with my camera audio equipment, computer notebook and supplies.
I plan to leave in November 2012 and am working on a rough draft of a travel itinerary at this point in time.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
As I have said before I do not have any sponsors as yet and do not expect to have any. I will be completely on my own. Unless there are people of science there or anywhere who want to help. If you would like to help me I surely would accept.
Thank You very much for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely Mike Hann. I can be reached at Hannm4@ yahoo.com
Hi Mike,
I wish you all the luck in your travels and investigation. I think it would be a dream come true to travel the world and investigate paranormal locations. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement: “Just because you do not catch fish does not mean fish are not there.”
I also agree that spending more than one night on an investigation is ideal. It sounds like you are extremely prepared. As one of the site administrators for Paranormal Underground, I recommend that you repost this message on our forum (see link at the top of the page). We have many science-minded investigators who post on the site, and they might have experiment and resource ideas for you. Please feel free to e-mail me directly if you need help navigating or posting on the forum.
