How to Log in to the site
1. The site has two separate logins. The first is the Word Press Login, which is required to post to the galleries or leave blog comments. To login to the galleries/blogs click on one of the menu items from the top menu. Enter login information in the form on the left margin (or sign up there if you don’t already have a login).
2. To log in to the forums, click on the forum tab and follow login and/or sign-up instructions there.
How to Post in the Galleries
1. Our galleries are in Word Press.
2. If you would like to be able to post to the galleries, you need to create a second log in for the Word Press (can use the same as your site login).
3. You will need to log in to Word Press every time you post to a gallery.
4. Once you are logged in to Word Press, you will see a Dashboard link off to the left. Click on this link.
5. The Word Press form pops up. Up at the top is a button, “New Post”. Click it.
6. The new post form is relatively self explanatory. Enter your information. You can enter code here for YouTube videos, upload images and upload sound files.
7. Once you have filled out the main form, look over to the right. You will see several things. One is a tags form. To enter tags, enter one tag at a time and click add.
8. Below the tags is a categories. Click the appropriate category that your post will go in (EVP, ITC, Personal Experience, Videos etc.)
9. Click Publish.
10. If you have difficulty with posting, contact karenfrazier@paranormalunderground.net. I have a spot where I can load files and put them in a sound player, etc.
11. You do not need to log in to comment in the galleries. To comment on a gallery post, podcast, blog, experiment, etc., click on the title of the post to pull up the entire post. The comment section is at the bottom and is self-explanatory.
How to Post EVPs in the EVP Gallery
1. EVPs are added almost the same as above.
2. When adding a post, click on Add Audio – Select Files -
3. You will then upload a sound file from your computer.
4. After file uploads, it will give options about that file in same window. Change Title to whatever you want people to see as title for media
5. Link URL should be filled out, click on File URL
6. Click “Insert Into Post”
7. Finish editing that post with whatever text or pics you would also like to add.
8. Assign the tags using the tag to the right.
9. Click publish posts.
Posting Photos
1. Photo posting is almost as listed above with a few exceptions. When you are ready to insert a photo, click on the Add an Image link.
2. Click the Browser Upload link.
3. Browse to your image, and then click upload.
4. Under the Link URL field, click “file URL”
5. Click Insert into Post.
6. Finish your post.
7. Click “publish”
How to Publish a Member Blog
1. Log into word press (on the left side of the blog page), or, if you haven’t signed up yet, you’ll need to create a word press account using the “create an account” link under the log in box. The Word Press login is not the same as your Paranormal Underground login.
2. Click on the Dashboard link on the left of your screen.
3. Click the “New Post” button on the top right of the screen.
4. Type your post.
5. Set tags in the box on the right.
6. Check “Member blog” in the category box. Make sure nothing else is checked.
7. Click Publish.
How to Leave a Comment on a Blog or Post
1. Click on the post heading.
2. Scroll to the bottom.
3. Leave your comment.
4. Be nice.
How to Have an Avatar Appear With Your Comments
