New EVPs from Wellington

by Karen Frazier, Managing Editor
Paranormal Underground Magazine

I’m done reviewing my evidence from our investigation of Wellington on the 100 year anniversary of the avalanche disaster this past Sunday night/Monday morning. Wellington was as serene and peaceful as I have ever seen it – but I think the spirits knew we were there.

Gathering evidence was an interesting exercise in below freezing weather. I have some really cool video clips where mists form and move purposefully. If I didn’t know how darn cold it was, I’d be excited about them. As it is, I’d bet my eyeteeth that it is all condensation from breath – but it doesn’t make it look any less cool.

I am attaching a few interesting anomalies that I captured on my Olympus DS-40. As NWPIA discovers their audio anomalies, I am sure they will post them on their website, so check in with them – www.nwpia.com.

All of these are very subtle. You’ll need a good set of headphones to hear them. I’ve captured the voice from #4 before with an entirely different set of people with me – but in the exact same location in the snow shed.

Hi Karen! Well, if it was up to my “tin ear”, the EV phenomenon would remain totally unknown. It’s like when I try to hear EVPs on television, I never hear anything like the experts have picked up. (The experts say the voice is clearly saying, “How Do You Do, I’m Very Pleased To Meet you.” And all I hear is “Shvvzzt frrrt!”) I’m sitting here with headphones on and still can’t make out a thing, although I can hear slight noises that could possibly be otherworldly voices. Even #4, to me, sounds more like, “Well, whatever.” A common phrase used a hundred years ago, I’m sure! LOL! Reckon that’s why I’m going to have to turn in my “Ghost Hunting Card”.

Maybe, though, I’ve proven to you that although I might not be able to hear EVPs worth a darn, I can pick up Psalms from quite a distance. Kind of odd for a heathen like me, eh?

Anyway, you have all my respect for getting out there in below freezing weather, up to your bum in snow and spending time with the ladies and gentlemen of Wellington on their sad anniversary. When I get there, I’ll ask them to speak up for me, as I’m slightly “Ghost Deaf” (that’s pronounced “Deef”!) Thanks for sharing with us.
