These photos (hall and hall2) were found on the Coast to Coast AM website. They were contributed to the site by a group of people photographing inside a community center in Sacramento, California. The group did not identify the location precisely, but I put two and two together and narrowed it somewhat. Of the hundreds of supposed ghost images I’ve seen, I consider the apparition captured here to be legitimate.

I added the text to the photograph and cropped into it as well.

There are several ways that I test the authenticity of a digital photograph to see whether or not it has been doctored. One way, and what I’ve done here, is to isolate the subject figure and compress the levels. Doing this makes the figure appear more solid but also allows me to better see if the image has been altered in any way. This image has not.

Also, if nothing is there and it’s just a figment of the viewer’s imagination, quite often, it turns to noise upon compression. Again, this figure did not.

The downside of compressing light levels is that mid-range and details drop off. However, as this subject figure is positioned well into the background of the photograph and in a dark area, there is little mid-range shading and detail to lose, as the figure is already quite pixelated.

Nonetheless, as you can see, this is a near full-body manifestation. It looks exactly like other legitimate photographs I’ve seen, and they are very few and far between. Also, the figure appeared only fleetingly. From what I understand, this is the only photograph in a series of many in which it was captured.
