Here is another Ohio paranormal legend that many people still talk about. It is a story told many times and in different ways from what I have heard and read. Before the internet, I was inclined to believe some of these urban legends. I will post links about the Gore Orphanage to save words.

There have been many stories about paranormal happenings or urban legends as they are now called that have been passed down for decades in Ohio. Before the internet, information about these urban legends were hard to come by.

Back in the 1960s, I participated with a group in trying to get to see the "Spook light" of Elmore, Ohio. I saw nothing at all. With the internet at my finger tips, I am able to do a lot of research including reading historical newspapers and getting tips from those who comment on various forums.

Some links about Spook Light for more explanation:
http://www.northwestohio.com/n.....?id=100624

http://www.prairieghosts.com/o.....-elmo.html

http://www.devilspenny.com/2010/07/991/
I am not sure if this link from a 1922 newspaper is related to Spook Light but Elmore is close by to the two towns mentioned.

http://www.joethielen.com/stuf.....index.html

I guess that is enough links so that you get the idea about Spook Light near Elmore, Ohio. I wasted a few hours trying to find out the truth about this urban legend. I found nothing in online historical newspapers but I didn't waste my time looking through old newspapers on micro-film at local libraries. I have never found a name for this motorcycle rider and the comments that I read didn't mention any names either. I dismiss this urban legend as having no substance to back it up.
