The two apparitions were acutally the same, I just saw it twice. It was a male, I would say maybe in his late 40's, possible 50's, he had a very pale face, white hair (like bleach blonde white), he wore a black/dark grey suit jacket, and denim trousers. He didn't seem to be a very happy guy, but not necessarily harmful or anything. The first time I saw him, he stepped out from behind the wall into the doorway between the living room and kitchen, and he was completely solid. I saw him full-on, not out of the corner of my eye, but he was gone in a second or two. The second time, he sort of leaned into the doorway from the living room, so I only saw his torso and head, but this time he was see-through. The second time I also saw him right in front of me, not out of the corner of my eye.

Both times I was really startled. Lol!

Something that I have been thinking about lately, is that a lot of people say seeing an apparition/full body apparition is very rare. Yet I have seen MANY in the past year. Perhaps this is just because I am a sensitive? Although I have always thought that I did more feeling presences and hearing them, then seeing them, but maybe my abilities have expanded? Or maybe I just have good timing? Lol.

What did the two apparitions look like and what did you do when you saw them?

The second urban legend that my group did an experiment with was the 100 Candles Games. I believe this 'game' is of Chinese original, but I'm not 100% sure on that, so correct me if I'm wrong.

In the 100 Candles Game, a group of people sit in a circle with 100 candles lit. Going around the circle, each person tells a ghost story then blows out one of the candles, until all the candles have been blown out. Once all the candles are out, a portal to the other side is supposedly created.

Because of cost and fire hazard issues, my group used 100 tealights set in fireproof containers. We sat in a circle with two miniDV cameras running (with IR lights), an audio recorder, and a low-frequency EMF meter set up. We lit all the candles, which was a feat in itself, since once we had most of them lit, one or two would go out and have to be relit. Eventually, we did get all 100 candles lit. Then we began telling the stories. There were only four of us, so it took approximately 2 hours until all the candles were out. One problem we did encounter was that because they were burning so long, over the time we were telling stories, some of the candles went out on their own, so we did not actually tell one hundred stories. Perhaps this is why we got the results we did, if there really is anything to this urban legend.

My theory go into the experiment was that by telling all those ghost stories, the particpants would psyche themselves out and begin to hear and see things through suggestion, from hearing the scary stories. As we told the stories, I expected to feel a mounting tension that would eventually lead us all to believe something above the normal was occuring. But as we went around the circle, this did not happen. In fact, nothing out of the ordinary did happen that night. At one point, I thought I felt footsteps walking across the floor, but we determined that it was one of the dogs walking around in the other room, causing the floor boards in the adjacent room to move. (It's a relatively old house.) After snuffing out the last candle, we sat for a moment waiting for something, anything, to happen. Nothing happened.

A couple of days later, I went over the video and audio from the experiment. We caught nothing out of the ordinary on either miniDV, nothing on audio, and the EMF never went off.

Over the next couple of weeks, I checked with the goup member whose house we had used to see if there were signs of the 'portal' opening. Nothing unusual occured in the home directly after we performed the experiment. However, about three weeks ago I was over at her home, and I saw two full-bodied apparitions, full on, not out of the corner of my eye. But I have no way to comfirn if this was tied to me (being a sensitive) or the home before the experiment, or if it was brought in by the experiment. We did an investigation the next night in the home, and that evidence has yet to be looked through.

In the end, I think it is most likely the participants imaginations running away with the stories being told, and nothing paranormal occuring.

(Note: If anyone else tried this game, please please be very careful. With 100 candles lit it would extremely easy to set something or someone on fire, and do NOT play in the hot wax, it can burn you. I think this 'game' would best be played outside on a night with no wind, and maybe more peopple who can each bring so many regular sized candles, that way it is not too expensive for anyone, and the candles do not burn themselves out. But again, if you attempt this please be extremely careful.)
