Looks like some artist has been having a good time.

Worth a look anyway – the art work is really cool looking.

I love these. Don't some advertisers pay to do logos? I think I remember seeing that somewhere. That and cartoons like hello kitty.

I've always wondered about these crop circles. What do ppl really think? Are they real ? are they from aliens? I'd be interested to hear what ppl think about this . Any thoughts?

I really believe that aliens travel millions of miles just to draw designs in our corn fields.

My guess is that they are made by people…

I heard an interesting theory once that crop circles were the earth trying to communicate with us.

Wish the planet would do a better job of communicating with us.

Did anyone see The Happening when it came out? That was a strange movie.

Yes, like that hello kitty /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

If I was an alien, I'd travel millions of miles to draw hello kitty and maybe a spongebob on the ground. Or perhaps some obscure messages commanding everyone to eat cheese or something else inane. Sure beats what those other aliens are doing with probes. *gulp*

There is evidence that some crop circles are not man made (In the sense that they are not physically made by the hands of man). Also, a true crop circle can be determined by the way the material it is made out of is laid out. Man made tend to be not quite perfect in shape and the material is haphazard in it's layout, having a more trampled appearance. The ones that are considered to be of unknown origin (as opposed to man made) have a swirled appearance to the pattern of the material in the field (almost akin to something that might have been done by a vortex), all the stalks are bent to a certain angle, and also show signs of high heat exposure. There have also been instances, in the case of the circles of attested paranormal origin, of heightened energy readings while within the circle, and of equipment malfunction, maybe caused by these heightened energy levels.

What makes me think there is something to the paranormal origins of crop circles is the complex mathematical formula sometimes involved (http://www.cropcirclesecrets.o…..wkins.html), or the crop circles with 3D effects (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new…..article-39…lish-field.html).

I don't think crop circles are of alien origin, but are a result of our collective consciousness. Case in point being the aforementioned 3D crop circles, which didn't appear until it was discussed amongst the crop circle community.

I say crop circles are not messages from aliens, then I come across this:

http://www.circularsite.com/in…..o8-eng.htm

which makes me rethink my theory of it being a message from our collective consciousness.

Could it be a combination of alien origin and ourselves?

I think that crop circles are man-made, alien made, and even possibly made by natural phenomena.

Saw The Happening and was sooooo disappointed in the movie.

Couldn't find a spongebob crop circle but I did find a Patrick one. I couldn't post the pic of it though.

Interesting, Chad. But what does the answer SAY?

Quoted from the website

First of all our decimal system was unchanged.

The first change was found in the most basic chemical elements of life on earth. In our original message, NASA had put hydrogen, carbon, oxigen, nitrogen and sulphur. These elements had been copied in the Answer, but one element had been added: element 14, silicon. To tell you the truth, this sent shivers down my spine, for most of the unusual substances found in crop circles are silicon compounds…

The next difference in the Answer was the information about our DNA. Our DNA contains two strings, whereas the DNA in the Answer clearly consisted of three strings. Furthermore the information about the number of nucleotides in the DNA had been altered.

And then… the information about our planet, its place in our solar system, humanity and population density. The Answer granted us a view into another world. The image of a human being had been replaced by the image of another being. A humanoid, complete with a trunk, arms, legs, and a head, but the proportions were completely different. The head was relatively quite large and the eyes were marked. Contrary to the original image of a human being, in which the eyes had not been explicitly marked, the eyes of this creature had indeed. In other words: large eyes in a large head. The total height of this creature was, according to the Answer, only one meter, whereas the height of the average human had been indicated in the original NASA message as 1.78 m. All of this information showed a striking similarity with the Grey Aliens, the ET's who – according to eyewitnesses – have been visiting our planet for several centuries…

Umm, perhaps I'm thick but I don't understand any of this. Are Cliff's notes available?

When we were in England, we viewed some crop circles. Matt Williams, I think from Wales admitted to doing about 400 crop circles with a group of guys.

The guys turned it into an art form, with trying to out do the other group as far as design.

I remember my taxi driver, telling me the story of Matt. He even got arrested from what I was told.

People thought the lights in the fields were aliens. It was the lights being used during the designing of the crop circle.

Wiltshire, summer, and crop circles. Good for tourists. They are really wonderful art forms.
