for miles on end would have to be answered by our resident geologist. I'd be willing to wager that it is capable

Nope. Didn't feel a thing. Paranoia, preconceived expectations, projection.... all possibilities. There are a lot of strange magnetic anomalies that have been documented in these areas. Considering that THE ENTIRE PLANET is a giant magnet and that its makeup is not at all homogenous it's not surprising that there are weird anomalies at various places. Iron deposits, plate tectonics.... even radon gas could affect the world in a noticeable way.

huh... I figured as much. I'm sure they have taken into account the science behind the earth's magnetic pulls and whatnot, along with all the other scientifc readings, but I've never heard that on the few shows I watched. Every time I find those kinds of channels I end up watching the one about the Titanic rather than the BT, though it's just as interesting.

So, aside from dealing with the scary hurricane situations, did you feel any differently flying through the BT? I've read here and there that people who fly or "boat" through the BT feel tingly, light headed, funky...all that energy stuff. Is it paranoia....?

Incidentally, magnetic compasses often go nuts in the triangle - spinning wildly or pointing directions other than north. Considering the number of vessels passing through the area it's not surprising that ships and planes disappear. Another theory is that there are undersea "rivers" which can carry submerged objects thousands of miles underwater. One such case involves a plane that was known to have crashed in the triangle which was discovered off the coast of Britain decades later. So either someone raised it, transported it across the Atlantic and sank it again OR it travelled there on the currents.

I know there has been media about the Triangle since the 70's and I don't think we are any closer today than then on what exactly has happened to all of the missing boats, planes, and people.

There is a thread on the Destination Truth forum on SyFy about the methane gas pockets emerging from below to create areas that reduce the buoyancy of vessels and some think this is the answer but I see this as only a possible cause for a fraction of the missing boats even.

I have not read a whole lot of fresh literature on recent disappearances but from previous information I have noted a lot of unusual occurrences have taken place in this part of the Atlantic. I know some of the stories have been embellished or propagated from being passed from one source to another but not all are based on fallacy. Is it a combination of events?

I definitely find the methane gas pocket explanation intriguing and have seen small-scale experiments that actually prove that those pockets can sink boats rather guickly.

However, like you Dover, I don't think it would explain all or even most of the strange disappearances in the triangle.

I think the most interesting stories that I've heard about bizarre occurrences in the Bermuda Triangle come from pilots who describe their instruments becoming nonfunctional and then all of a sudden they are in some strange cloud cover or cloud cylinder that completely disorientates them. Could this be some sort of dimensional veil?
