True that...it's frustrating. I know that a couple of my coworkers are pissed off about this cancellation. Let me ask you, when they calculate the ratings...do they take into account the dvring...lots of people watch shows on their dvrs later on . While watching something else live, I think it should be counted. The program is still being watched and if you think for one second Comcast isn't (or can't) keeping track of that stuff you are crazy!
Funny that you ask about the DVRing cause I think they now do. In the TV guide when they give the top 10 or 25 they have two listings...the Watched Live and the watched DVR. Also in one of the NY papers forgot which one (either the NY Post or NY Daily News) for 5/15 some bigwig at NBC was complaining that the ratings for DVR watching wasn't calculated right. I can see him complaining since NBC has been in last place for like a decade...lol. Without a major hit.
I did write an e-mail to Fox showing my support for Fringe and Alcatraz as being a viewer of both. What I failed to say in the e-mail is that I watched both shows by DVRing them. I work 3-11 so 99% of my prime time TV watching is by DVR.
