OfflineThat's an interesting theory. Like a brain hiccup.
So if that is true I wonder why when I had my deja vu moment yesterday I had a very strong
memory of that person saying the exact same thing to me but I the way I remembered it we
were in a very different situation.
i dont know. maybe it was mixed with another memory, like an overlap or something.
i really have no clue. i cant remember if that was addressed in the article.

So are perception of time is skewed backward and we are actually re-experiencing a few seconds from a forgotten past? Interesting to say the least. Just imagine getting caught in that loop? Uh, oh that sounds alot like autism? Just a thought.
OfflineAge…….it's all a matter of mind over matter. I don't mind my age so it doesn't matter!

I'll be honest I was never comfortable ,at all, with " Dejavu." It was always a little unsettling to me.
Maybe I just blocked them out ? I'm just stoked that it hasn't happened in 10 years or so.
I'm just the opposite, I enjoy them. They intrigue me. All the possibilities of what it could mean.
There has always been something romantic about the experience for me. Not in the traditional
sense but in the idea that it could be some vague memory of time gone by. Our souls quick
recognition of a person or place that meant something to us in another place or time. That we
are crossing paths with an old lover or friend.
I know…. I'm such a girl. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

OfflineMaybe deja vu is a way for us to realize we are where we are supposed to be???
So that kind of travels the same vein as poops theory. That it's our way of knowing
we have not deviated off of our chosen path?

So then would that mean Jon has deviated off his chosen path since he doesn't
experience it anymore?
I rarely experience it, I wonder what that says. Am I on my path or not /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Depends on if it were "chosen" our "predetermined". One invokes a feeling of control ,
predetermined does not for me!

Well when I refer to "chosen" I'm referring to a path predestined by a higher power. One I would call God.

OfflineThe whole wink or rewind theory has me wondering if I messed up my destiny!
Now I'll never be the Ambassador to Ecuador! Seriously the rewind idea has alot of merit !
I think the rewind theory is the most plausible even if it doesn't fit into some of my stronger deja vu moments.
The one that sticks with me the most happened several years ago. My ex-husband and I had decided to tour an
old plantation house one afternoon. As we drove up the drive I had an overwhelming feeling of deja vu. I just
shook it off thinking nothing too much about it. Deja vu right? Happens all the time. But while we were walking the
grounds waiting for the tour (we were the only ones there) the feeling returned. As we walked into the house I knew
I had been there before. I stopped my husband just inside the front door and told him I could describe the layout of
the house and that I had an overwhelming sense of deja vu. As we stood there I told him about the house and when
we moved through each room I had been right. Everything was just as I'd described it.
Now I had never been there before, we'd just moved to the state a couple months prior. How could that have been a
rewind of something that had yet happened?
There have only been a few times in my life when the feeling is that strong. Usually its just that feeling of the familiar, but on occasion
like visiting that old plantation and yesterday they almost come with the vividness of a photograph.

I know that the vivid part of Dejavu is probably why it threw me.
But It was never places that I " recalled" it was always situations and conversations
in particular. It was always a long enough conversation that I could recognize
and remember lengthy conversations and could change well remembered responses before I spoke.
Talk about Dejavu though…..I think I remember this whole Universe saying HI , episode as well ! /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

That's usually how it works for me too, situations and especially conversations but every once in a
while it throws in a place. That is the only one quite that detailed though.
But with the conversation yesterday the words were exactly the same, I just remembered them in a totally
different setting. And again it came through very vividly and like you I think that's the part that…well, not really
throws me as much as excites or interests me. It feels unnerving and exciting all at the same time, kinda like when someone
lightly drags their fingers over your back causing chills to run up your spine. It's that mixture of sensations that register
somewhere between pleasure and pain, excitement and dread.
Okay so I've gone off the rails a bit here /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> but I have to wonder if somehow that is tied into the soul mate/group idea. If our
soul is recognizing someone or something that had meaning to us before.
Or not. It could be something as simple and mundane as the article Heidi read about brain hiccups. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I think she was certainly on the right track, in that deja vu is a sensation that our brains manufacture. I think that our memories are such an imperfect storage medium that we really only retain impressions of a time/place/event. Thus when we have a similar impression, we get a rush of familiarity. I've really started to notice that when Karen and I review video footage from an investigation, I'm always surprised by how different it is from the way I remembered it. It just seems so weird that I can remember Pi to 12 digits, but I can't remember what I did six hours ago. The older I get, the more it's like deja vu all over again…

However – you are not always the most observant person on the face of the earth. Too much going on in that big brain of yours usually, which I think distracts you from being super observant. When I go back and review evidence, it is exactly as I remember it. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

What did you finally decide about the EVP? It sounded really clear to me !
Was it contaminated or was it evidence? I forgot to ask the other day.
