True, but like most aspects of the inner mind, we don't really know if empathy is an external "telepathy field", or merely a clever evolutionary adaptation that aids us in form communities for the common good. We are fairly complicated critters.

We are complicated surely, but that doesn't mean we can't unravel that complexity. Neurology is an interesting field, as I'm sure you're aware.
