OfflineA very long time ago I was in an AMC movie theater and as I walked in I felt as though many years in the future I would be there with a tall man wearing a trench coat. I have no idea why.
Five years ago I saw a guy playing ddr (videogame). I only saw him from behind and he was wearing a hat and long coat, so I really didn't know what he looked like. I thought about him for a long time afterwards and couldn't figure out why. About a year later I fell asleep in my english class and thought I was still awak (sitting at the same desk and everything) except it was several months later. For some reason in the dream I was waiting for class to end so I could go outside the room and see a guy I was in love with. I also knew in the dream that it was my english teacher that set us up together- weird?.
Half a year went by and there was a piece of paper on the board in my english class that said this guy needed a date. My teacher insisted I call him (go figure?). When I met the guy and we went out. The next time we had school and I found I was in my English class, I couldn't wait to get out to see him, it turned out his class was next to mine. It was just like the dream. It was after we were together that I discovered his long trench coat and green hat, the items he was wearing that day years ago.
There was a time when we went to that AMC from the beginning together, I had dejavu.
We have been together for three years and he recently proposed to me.
There have been many times where I have freaked out thinking I was in an Earthquake. But when I went running to find someone and tell the, they would say "What earthquake?" I would then find out I was the only one to feel it even though the walls were shaking- at least in my mind. Later on in many of these cases, I would turn on the news and discover there was a huge earthquake either during or after I thought I had been in one, except the real quake would be in a different country. A lot of times I would be in the same room as someone else during this, and they would wonder why I am acting like I'm in a quake.
Defiantly some of my more embarrassing moments.
I found out later my mom believed she was "sensitive" and my grandfather did too before he passed on. My mom told me some of her stories, but has never talked about it since then.
I have other stories, but sometimes even I don't believe them. It is hard to deal with moments like that, but luckily they are just that. Moments. I get a feel for things a lot and often find I was right, but when very dramatic things happen, they are very quick and to the point, like a baseball bat hitting your head. A lot of times I have just had to keep things to myself so I don't sound crazy.
Am I psychic? I don't know. Maybe? Decide for yourself. I'm not really claiming to be one, just relaying things that have happened to me. That's why I call it "sensitive" like my mother did, because it could happen to anyone, I just happen to be looking out for it.

Heyyy….that happens to me,too! As a matter of fact, the one big earthquake we had here back in February of 2001 ( the Nisqually quake – it was something like a 6.8 and lasted a long time something like 45 seconds) – I had to actually say to my boss (who was standing at my desk) – do you feel that? Is my monitor shaking? Are we actually having an earthquake? Because I thought it was the same thing I usually experienced. It wasn't – although when I first said to my boss, "We're having an earthquake," she said "No, we aren't." So I looked at my monitor for a second and then saw it start to shake and I said, "Gail – look at my monitor. Don't you see it shaking?" When she finally saw it, she ran and scuttled under her desk. I got under my desk, realized it was flimsy and went to stand in the doorway to her office instead, where I noticed that she was only partially under the desk. She was like my cat under the bed – where he thinks he's hidden, but his butt is hanging out. It was quite funny. Then, when the darn thing finally stopped, I had to go get her husband because she wouldn't come out from under the desk. I think I actually sort of felt/sensed the earthquake seconds before it became actually apparent we were having one.
OfflineI also have what I can only describe as prophetic dreams. They involve a kid I went to grade school with and haven't seen in over 20 years. Whenever he shows up in a dream, his presence there is so random that I notice it. And then, within a few days, there is always some huge major change in my life. He showed up in a dream on Friday night and when I saw him I actually said, "Oh crap – not you again." The last two times he's showed up, the changes weren't so great. I'm hanging on to my hat, but secretly hoping this one was either a random appearance, or it will be a good change.

God, I hate that kind of crap. I tend to see teenagers doing really stupid things during waking dreams, so I try to avoid it. In an effort to try to control it, I used to try to see that stuff. I don't like being a victim of this but tried to control it. I don't like what I see so I don't do it anymore. One of the last times I did, on purpose, try to go into a state where I could see things and that was when I 'became' a young boy and was standing in the middle of the road with a bike and I saw a red truck bearing down on me. There was no way I could have gotten out of the way. I saw this about two weeks before it happened and luckily, the boy wasn't killed but survived. I went to the area and confirmed that what I saw in my dreams really existed. Typically when I see them, they have already died. I hate seeing these things and knowing there isn't sh*t-all I can do about it. Its horrible and depressing. I hate seeing these faces turn up in the news.
One of the last things I did actually seek was how my sister in law died. I've written about it in personal experiences. What I didn't write is that I later asked her how it happened; if she could show me. I saw a kitchen with a counter in front of me. I felt like there were cupboards at my back and I could see a small eating area in front of me with a round table that would fit about 4 people. I saw dark yellow curtains with round medallion shapes on them that were either flowers or fruit. I felt like there was another room off my to my left. As I looked down, I saw lunch type things on the counter; bread, pickles, mustard and then I was on the floor staring at the dusty bit of floor between the white tiles and the dark cabinets. That was it. Her husband said she fell in the bedroom, which, as I gather, is where the paramedics found her. She did, however, have a bruise on her forehead which couldn't be accounted for with a fall on the bed, which is what he said happened. If this is true, I have no idea how she could have gotten from the kitchen to the bedroom without her husband dragging her. That's a horrible thought.
A few weeks later, during a conversation, my husband talked about her house and her kitchen was as I described. I've never been in her house nor has anyone talked to me about what it looked like.
In the end, I don't believe I am psychic. I think I am sensitive to things some other people may not sense. Its like an allergy. I don't like these dreams so I don't go there anymore. I don't like feeling the emotions of people who have died. Sometimes I blunder into this and can't help it such as when I go to church and someone is hanging out. I don't like it but I live with it and I block it and them, out as best I can.
Karen, I hope your dream bodes well.
OfflineSensing an earthquake before it happens? Maybe so, I know there are a lot of animals that era able to do that. I have a lot of pets and one day about an hour before a major quake they all started freaking out in a way they have never done before. My frog was hoping frantically, my hermit crabs were scurrying around (they never move otherwise), and my cat was being weird.
Maybe it has to do with electro magnetic energy coming off the plates moving underground?
