hehe, I'm sure. ^_~

But is there really no other way a light could have turned on? I mean could some type of electrical thing be the cause? Although it was on the 'on' position.

Well, I could definitely see a switch turning on or off if it was sitting right in the middle. I've accidentally done that several times. However, it usually happens within seconds when I don't turn off the light correctly (and yes I know I sound like a moron, but sometimes I'll walk by the light switch really fast and half miss it, so it's sitting right in the middle.)

that was my first assumption too, but I tried to put the switch back in the middle and couldn't get it to do it, maybe I was just doing it wrong. lol The only other odd part was the light had been off for some time.

I find the whole light thing really odd because I found out my house use to have a light problem where the lights on the stairway would always come on at night. My dad eventually called an electrician to figure it out, it almost never does it anymore, although a few weeks ago I was lazy and spent the night on a sofa and when i woke up at 5 in the morning all of the lights downstairs were on. (Technically my dad woke me up to yell at me for leaving all the lights on)

@ Dejvu: Very cool! My mom went there. Who knows, you guys may have known each other.

Well, another night and a new story. I never know when stuff will happen. (and just when I thought my house was getting back to normal! >.<)

House incidents on May 19, 2010.

Not sure what went on last night, but it was very frightening. I stay up very late at night- bad habit I picked up a while back. My sister and I were in the kitchen watching tv, most paranormal activity seems to center around my kitchen, and it also is the common hang out place for us. Around 12:30am, my sister decided to go to sleep. I stayed up, talking to friends online and watching tv. Around 1;20, I decide to go to sleep too. As I turned my computer off, I had a strange yet all too familiar feeling, one of absolute fear. I have no idea why that came over me, but I noticed that happened a lot right before something really scary happens. I left the room ad found the living room light was on, I called out “is anyone in here?” no answer, so I turned the light off. I went upstairs, the whole time feeling really uneasy. Before I went in my room I heard a female voice coming from my sisters room, but very low. I figured it may have been a tv so I ignored it. I went in my room and instantly shut my door, I just stood there for several moment, not sure what to do. Then I heard a popping noise, the kind a door makes when it it quickly opened, I instantly opened my door too and something I can’t quit explained terrified me. I didn’t actually see anything, but for a few seconds I was just stunned, I then quickly ran to the bathroom, not wanting to stay in the hall. (in no relation to being scared)

I must have been in there for a while, I stopped having that odd uneasy feeling though. Then I started hearing a noise. I have felt for several years that there was an entity in my house, a human one that is, but the last few months there has been something new. I have no idea what it could be, but it’s always in my upstairs bathroom. It sounds like it is small, I use to think it was an animal- like a rat. But I could never find it when I went looking for it. It sounds like it is just next to my half sized refrigerator and sink cabinet, but when u look there is nothing there. (The refrigerator is for animal food- there are several reptiles in my sister’s room.) That uneasy feeling came back.

There was a knocking at the bathroom door, it was my sister. I came out, and she seemed kind of upset, but I didn’t say anything to her, just went to sleep. I wasn’t freaked out at all after that- just annoyed that later on my sister was playing music really loud at 2 in the morning.

Then today, we decided to go to the El Dorado Nature Center together, and got to talking about last night. I asked her if she felt uneasy last night, that’s when she revealed her side of the story (before I told her my story). She said that as she was leaving the kitchen (at 12:30), she heard someone in the living room, and there was noises coming from the sliding glass door on the other side of the room. She quickly went upstairs and into her room. A few minutes later she heard the loud stomping noises of boots coming up the stairs very slowly and a hand sliding on the railing. These are semi common noises we hear at night, so she tried to ignore them. She stayed in bed, but never went to sleep. At 1:20, she heard me come up stairs, I guess I have distinct walking noises. After I shut my door, she heard her door handle wiggling. (this is during the time I was standing in my room uneasy), then there was the popping noise of her door opening, except it didn’t actually open. (This is when I jump out of my room to become terrified for no particular reason). She says she heard someone slowly walk into her room, all of the animals started making noises. The bearded dragons climbed under their logs, the frog dug into it’s rocks, and the chameleons his behind sticks. She held up her cell phone as both a pathetic weapon and for light. Something was leaning on a chair near her door- the carpet indented more on one side of the chair then the other, then slowly raised up again. She felt like a man was standing right next to her. A few seconds later, something stated banging on the mesh chameleon cages, then tapping on the glass bearded dragon tanks. Then everything went quiet. A few moments later, she got up to go to the bathroom to splash water on her face. (this is when I ran into her and thought she seemed upset.

She says she put on loud music after that so it wouldn’t be so quiet. A kind of comforting mechanism.

She left for the night already, I hope a do well tonight, at least I don’t have to listen to music at 2 in the morning again.

For some time now I have considered putting up a camera in my kitchen just to see if I film anything interesting, but i keep deciding against it since I still live at home and my dad thinks I'm a nut for even being interested in the topic of ghosts. (despite our house being blatantly haunted in my opinion)

well now I regret not setting the camera up.

it's 2:30 right now and a few minutes ago I heard what sounded like the refrigerator door open and shut slowly. Other then my cat, i'm the only one home right now, and i don't think my cat is capable of that. (and I was fully awake when I heard it, was online talking to people)

A residual late night fridge raid, or a ghost with a cookies and milk fetish.

It all sounds benign enough except for the cage rattling in your sisters room.

That shows intelligence and a propensity for upsetting small animals. Have you

contacted anyone that can help with explaining the occurences? Hope you had

a quieter night tonight.

The kitchen light suddenly came on, and being the tough marine that my fiance' was, he had me go check it out.

@ Pooperdooper

It seems like most 'activity' in my house isn't threatening, just odd, but there have been several times when it seems almost like the entity is intentionally trying to scare people, and it has hurt people before. I'm not sure what to do about it, I don't have a job or money to move. Calling an expert to come check it out is impossible, I live with my parents and my dad is so anti-paranormal that he yells at me if I even suggest I heard an odd noise. (Unfortunately I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm nuts)

I have gained a bad reputation amongst my parents and fiance' over all this. They think anything would freak me out. (luckily my sister has been there for some things and has has separate incidents) It's bad enough I strongly believe my house is haunted, but then when I said things happen at the hotel I stay at I didn't have a chance of trust. Now I just pretend nothing is wrong.

(I stay at a hotel a lot because my Fiance' lives 6 hours away)

Oh, and about that last post. The next morning I discovered the refrigerator wide open, so I guess I wasn't hearing things either way.
