OfflineOpening email today, and I get the usual garbage, when I came across a letter from
a lonely Russian woman proposing blah, blah, blah! Well the picture was open in the email
so naturally I looked at it and this is what I saw. Look to the left of the cats ear inside the
doorway set back a little. Looks like mist below the cat and a then the face ! Not worth
anything since I know nothing about the picture. Still fun to look at ! I think my priorities
may be a little out of whack! LMAO
Jon, I watched the Orphan. That girl has an Russian accent and killed every man she met. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Then my tea in Keiv date is a definite nogo! Does everything have to be so hard these days?
Just can't swing a dead cat these days without hitting lonely Russian women who want to get married. LMAO
OfflineI'm sure this was so difficult for you to share, like GettysburgLady said, and I appreciate you taking the time to share such a pesronal, touching moment with us. It is so hard to let go of the physical, and though it doesn't take away the sadness within our hearts, it is good to know, comforting…that when they have passed they are happy, healthy and lively. I'm sure she will be watching over you and the rest of the family.
My condolences to you and yours.
*hugs*
Thanks Carolyn. Thanks BeckyM.
OfflineI've needed to wait a few weeks before posting this. My sister in law died on October 16th in Fort Worth. She had an incurable disease that attacked her heart and she collapsed on October 9th. She was without a heart beat when the paramedics arrived and she was placed on life support. She was completely unresponsive and settled into a deeper vegetative state as the week went on. We went to TX as soon as we could. We arrived on October 15th and visited her in the hospital as soon as we could. As we were in the room that night, I could feel that she was standing next to me. She wasn't in her body at the time, I believe, because I could feel her zip around the room. I could feel her smile or frown when someone bent over her to wipe her mouth, depending on who it was. I saw her in my head and she was smiling and laughing with her palms facing me. There was a medallion like white light behind her and she was wearing lavender. She looked healthy. Later, I asked my husband's niece what was Bertha's favorite color and Melissa said purple, light purple. I talked to Bertha a bit and said that I hoped she would be okay with what was going to happen because her husband planned to take her off of life support the next morning. The next morning was brutal and she labored to breathe on her own and she did, for about three hours. Then everything slowed down and stopped. That was Friday. On Sunday, my husband and I attended mass at her church. As we were leaving, I heard a distinct whispered 'thank you' in my left ear. There was no one behind me at the time.
Liz – I missed this a few days ago. Thanks for sharing your experience. My condolences on your sister-in-law.

OfflineHi again, it's been a while. It seems like I only come back on when new stuff starts up. For those who don't know me my story was in one of the ealier issiues of the magazine and the second half is on the first page of this topic. Since then more has been happening and I am beginning to become concerned for my sanity. For at least the last three years now I have been seeing things move. They are usually small objects that only move very slightly. (Although I have had larger things move quiet a bit before) Many times the movement is so slight that I am not even sure it really just happened and I find it odd that more often then not it is something I am directly looking at and not just something in the room. Am I just going crazy? I believe in ghosts after everything I have seen and been through, but all these little things moving bothers me. I no longer get concerned by things moving by themselves since it is so common, I just pretend it didn't happen or it was my eyesight. It is often at night, in my kitchen. More things have happened in my kitchen then anywhere else- I have no idea why, the guy who did die in my house (Who I assume is the one haunting it) never entered my kitchen once in his life.
A few nights ago I was in my kitchen online when I heard a strange noise like creak. I looked over and the cabinet door no more then 4 feet away had opened. It scared me but at least I didn't run out. I haven't touched the door since and it remains open now. What stinks is I was on a webcam at the time and it conveniently happened during the 5 minutes that my Fiance' had stepped away from his computer. Things only happen in my house if a person is alone, or the person who sees something is looking where no one else happens to be looking. It's really annoying that stories are never validated here.
My problem is that although others have experienced things here and I live with three other people, I seem to be the one sees way more then anyone else. This house is haunted, but why am I being targeted? Is it possible that the house has ghosts but I'm also starting to lose it? I guess there's no way of really knowing.
OfflineI grew up in a big 100 year old farm house.
There were so many things there that to choose really makes them seem stupid. Its a compliation of many really. When we first moved there I was only 5 years old.We checked out the whole house right away.In the attic we found an old cemetary wreath with a ribbon that read "at rest" we picked it up and checked it out then dropped it and moved on to more important things.that wreath became trouble.we had barn cats outside and that first winter one of our cats fell into the watering trough and nearly froze. My dad brought it into the house to warm up but it didnt work that night he died next to the oil burning furnace in the basement. The next night I woke up to hear my 3 sister screaming in another room.I got up and went to the doorway to see wtf and they told me to get out of the eay.I moved to the corner and heard why they were screaming. Behind the door we could hear a cat purring and meowing I heard it myself and it scared the **** out of me.It kept doing it so we finally went downstairs to tell my mom and she came up to see what was up I turned around and saw a grey cat walk right through the wall.
It seems after that if we touched that wreath strange things happened.it took many many years before we even had the guts to go up and through it away.
There are more stories, Ill get back to you
Offlineanother time:
After that first experience we were all afraid to do anything around the house alone. My oldestsister had her own room, but the rest of us sept in shared rooms-my two older sisters in one and my brother and I in another. He's onlly 13 months and 5 days younger then me so we were close.anyway,we started all sleeping together.one siser got me the other got david. So one night we were in bed and Phyllis was sleeping with david.we had this glow in the dark cross on the wall from sunday school and we watched it when the lights were off to make us feel better,by now we were all afaid of the dark.so, Phyllis was watching the cross while the rest of us were trying to sleep when the cross turned into a ball of light.(orb??) and moved from that wall to another and another. She tried to pinch David to wake him up but he kept sleeping so she screamed and jumped from her bed to ours , we werent sleeping so we saw it .She was hysterical.crying and screaming…my parents came upstairs again and told us it was the light from a car going by,but we didnt havecutains ove rthe big windows so it wouldnt have been a ball of light it would have lit up the whole room and we were used to that.
Offlineyesterday I was sitting in my kitchen, (IT"S ALWAYS HAPPENING IN MY KITCHEN????!!! WHY???!!!), and someone walked by the side of my house and slammed the gate really hard. It actually shook the table I was sitting at- the gate is attached to the wall of the room I was in. I checked it out and no one was there. But the automatic lights that are suppose to come on when someone walks by were unplugged after I checked. I know they were plugged in the night before and no on unplugs them.
Possibly a ghost? I don't know.
Oh, I am doing a research paper on ouija boards, I know, I know, a lot of people believe they bring evil entities into the house, but for the sake of research I might be willing to go through scaring the crud out of myself again. I'll post anything that I get out of it on here.
Plus, thanks to mystic night for pointing this out a while ago, I have started to figure out the seasonal habits of my ghost. He is way more active in winter- as I suspected, with random single events throughout the rest of the year.
OfflineIn my kitchen at the moment, the gate slamming from my last post happened again, but this time I caught the culprit! It was not what I expected…. I sadly have no amazing footage of a ghost for you guys, just a possum infestation. Possums however only explain the gate opening, so maybe one day I will find that amazing shot. Until then, I think I should start keeping a video camera in my kitchen. lol
Then again… maybe I should just get out of this room more often…
OfflineI was talking to my mom Saturday night & I was telling her about PUG. She asked me if I believed in ghosts and told her yes, I told her about a few things that I have experienced. I told her about seeing my grandfather a year after he passed at my high school graduation. They had brought us in to sit and when I looked out I saw my grandfather looking at me. I looked around to see where my family was sitting and when I looked back my grandfather was gone but I knew he was proud of me. After I told her about this she told me that wasn't the first time a deceased love one has come to me. I was 4 years old and my uncle Curtis had died, we were in Oklahoma and she said I was staring out the window. When she asked me what I was looking at I told her uncle Curtis, when she looked out all she saw was a tree. She says I told her he came to tell me bye.

Those are very cool experiences Duckie. I've never seen deceased loved ones but have felt them.
OfflineThanks MK, growing up I had always felt someone close to me but I thought it was my great grandfather, now I think it was my uncle looking out for me.
OfflineThis happened a few weeks ago but I didn't know what to make of it.
This is the second time I have seen a shadow person in my house, I think it was the same person- which I can only assume is a man who died here about 17 years ago.
I was in the door way of a room and looked out into the hall, across the short hallway was another room with the door open. Next to the doorway is a desk, an all black figure leaned out from sitting at the desk and looked at me. Then he moved back to his sitting position and was gone. I waited a few moments confused by this before I made sure there was no one in that room. (The hall is maybe 3 yards long.)
The last couple of days I thought I heard someone following me when I am on that floor as I go in and out of rooms. I even left a small flashlight on top of a piece of furniture and left the room to check on my lizards. While in the room next to it, I heard a crashing noise in the room that I left the flashlight in. I ran in, and fond nothing out of place except the flashlight that was laying in the center of the room.
OfflineHi everyone
My recent experiences started about 4 years ago. I have always been receptive so it was no big deal. I would hear my name and no one would be around or I would be home alone. The best early experience I had was a full body apparition. I saw a man in the dining room leaning on the wall wearing a green leisure suit. I asked my wife if her father had owned a green leisure suit and she said "Yes, why do you ask?". She was amazed when I related the story. The most activity I have seen was last May.
I awoke early for some reason and could not get back to sleep. I got up and there was a bright flash of light from our bookcase. I thought it was a school bus at the time. (There was no school that day.) I then went downstairs. We have an alarm clock that chimes one time on the half hour. When the clock chimed I turned to look at the time (knowing it was ten before 6). When I looked at the clock a ceramic vase fell 4 feet from a shelf and landed upside down intact. I have to admit I was a little shaken.
There have been other whispers bangs and footsteps since then but the best one happened to my wife. She has never experienced any paranormal activity before. She was cleaning in the hallway and caught the light in our bedroom turn on. It requires a remote to turn this light on and there she was alone. I was glad someone else saw something!
There have been other occurrences but these are the most notable. Does anyone know a good program to enhance EVPs?
All I have recorded have been footsteps, a sigh, assorted bangs, and what sounds like a dove cooing.
Later I will relate my parents experiences when they stayed at Gettsburglady's motel. Mom still says she doesn't believe!!!

Hi Rangerrick! And, welcome.
Oh, I can't wait to hear what happened with your parents at the hotel!
Usually the guests are hesitant to approach us with their experiences. A common scenerio is: "Is this place haunted?" "Why do you ask?" "Well, you are not going to believe this, but . . . ."
Can't wait to read about it!

Welcome to PUG Rangerrick!
Wow, the full-bodied apparition experience sounds amazing. Did he just fade away after you spotted him, or did you have interaction with him?
OfflineIt was pretty awesome. My grandmother was years ago and I don't remember much.
The other one was more memorable. I saw something out of the corner of my eye and turned to look. I saw a man leaning against the wall. It shocked me and I turned away and looked back and he was gone. If it happens again I hope to try and interact with him. It seems activity increases around May around his birthday.
Thanks for the welcome. I have been reading for a while and decided to contribute.
OfflineA friend of ours just moved to Pennsylvania for a new job. He called me today to tell me about what's been happening in his apartment. He lives in a really old building, and he's been there for a week now.
Yesterday, he was looking for his laundry key. He searched the entire apartment – every vertical surface – multiple times and finally gave up. He got a neighbor to let him into the laundry room. Then, when he got back to his apartment the key was sitting there on his otherwise empty table, which he'd searched several times.
He has a clock radio alarm that he set across the room from his bed. It isn't tuned to a radio station – just static, and he lets the alarm wake him rather than the radio. This morning, his radio turned on and a loud voice said, "It's time to get out of bed." He got up and got moving before he realized it was a few hours before his alarm was set for. He checked his alarm and it was still set for the time he'd set it for.
He's going to keep me updated.
