OfflineAs Carolyn mentioned, we were the members that were visiting Gettysburg last week. It was great meeting Carolyn and spending time with her and showing her the pictures that we took and what we experienced. We arrived and stayed in Suite 156 on June 26, that evening we spent sometime out on the little patio that is with the room and decided to start taking some pictures……..I was taking some pics and it didn't appear that anyone was making themselves known to me, so my wife decided to try her luck. The first picture she snapped as soon as it appeared on the display of the camera, she took one look and handed the camera to me and said "I"m done, there is a face staring back at me." She didn't tell me where in the picture it was but put it up on the screen again and said what do you see….sure enough, staring right at me plane as day was a face. Needless to say since I was the one wanting the experience, I was a little upset. I took a pic standing in the same place as her and all you see is trees. Then the fun began for a group started letting off fireworks on the other end of town. We could see them from our room so we decided to snap some pictures, there were a lot of ectoplasms in them. I will upload some of the pics in the next couple days, I'm just trying to unwind from the trip and get things back in order at home. Plus going thru the 800+ pictures that my wife and I took.
Experiences in the room, my wife had a hair scrunchie that she knew she packed but couldn't find until the day we were leaving, the light was turned on after we both knew it was off, I had a couple cold brusts of air go by me and when sitting outside that first night could smell Cherry Tobacco.
I will post more later!
Those are great experiences! I can't wait to see the pictures. Thanks for sharing.
OfflineCharlie and Kristy were delightful! I so enjoyed meeting them.
They stayed in the Oakridge Suite their first night at the hotel. It is a wonderful two-person suite that sits in the back of the property adjacent to the railroad cut on ground that was hotly contested – 6th Wisconsin vs. 55th N.C., 2nd and 42nd Miss.
For the rest of their visit, I put them in an active room that sits on the ground where 4 artillery pieces (Union) sat on July 1 and which were heavily engaged and narrowly avoided capture. I was hoping that the Union soldier who appears in that room sitting in a corner smoking a pipe would put in an appearance. But, they had other experiences in that room and on the hotel grounds.
I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of their experiences here with the rest of you! It was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting members from PUG. I had such fun with them and I hope I convinced them to return again when they can. I know they enjoyed Gettysburg.

OfflineI went to lunch with a girlfriend last Sunday afternoon and we were walking through the antique shops in Stillwater, one of Minnesota's oldest towns with very old surviving structures. This antique shop was some sort of warehouse, so its huge, with multiple floors. So, as I said, we were puttering around the antique shop and I turned a corner and I felt all the energy drain out of me and that familiar pulling down sensation on the left side of my head. I sorta blinked and swayed. Sue saw what was happening and asked me if I wanted to leave. I said no because I wanted to see if there was some sort of obvious electrical thing making me feel that way. I could only see a light on the ceiling above me. It was a regular office type halogen light. It was very bizarre. We've had things like this happen before in that shop so I wasn't too surprised, but always in different locations.
Here's a link to the midtown antiques mall.
OfflineSorry for my delay….trying to get back in the swing of things upon returning from vacation really sucks.
I finally have some time so I thought I would sit down and upload 4 pics from our trip to Gettysburg…..not happening tonight either, I need to figure out how to compress the files for they are to large to upload. So, I guess I need another day or 2 to upload the pictures. /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
I can't say how much we enjoyed this vacation and we are already trying to figure out when we can swing it to go back out. We know there are still so many places we weren't able to visit. We would also like to go back sometime when it isn't quit so busy so we can try to get some more pictures and EVP's from the soldiers.
We did do an EVP one night in the hotel office and there is a clear clink of glass…which surprised us cause there was no glass in the room and we were in a completely different area of the office when we had the recorder going. I haven't spent time yet listening to the recorder for I let it run all night long the night before we left, anxious to see if we caught any activity throughout the night.

Have you tried a picture hosting site such as photobucket or flickr:
You can upload there and then use the code to post them here. Good luck!

Charlie and Kristy,
Sithy's suggestions are great. Try uploading them to photobucket. You can downsize them there for uploading here. If you need help, let me know. I'm off tomorrow (yay) and will be looking at them more closely. There is SO much going on in them!

It's always a bummer getting back from a great vacation!
OfflineI wanna share an experience that recently happened to myself and a few of my friends.
First, my best friend has been experiencing paranormal phenomena since he was very young and has many unnerving stories. I don't have many experiences and up until a few months ago nothing i could really share.
Just got a call so I'll make this brief.
My friend is living in a ginormous place left to him by his grandparents, the table in the kitchen is every bit of 10 ft long.
There are four of us huddled on one end of this table playing cards. We are very competent players playing for real money so the atmosphere is fairly tense. In other words we are extremely focused and you could hear a pin drop most of the time. Almost at the other end of the table is a common, bright yellow spray nozzle that was obviously new and unused. All of a sudden- i don't know if it was the sound or movement that initially caught my attention- i watch it slide in a not so nice manner slamming into an adjacent chair rattling around in the seat before coming to rest on the floor.
I instantly looked across to one of the other dudes- who i might add has no knowledge or interest in the PN- and asked if he did something. He looked at me bewildered and asked "how the hell could i have done that." He then looked right at my best friend and said "i think you have a ghost in your house."
Of course I had to survey the situation and can attest to no fishing line being present. There was absolutely no one else there and we estimate the nozzles starting point near the center of the table. It was truly unexplainable. They all seemed to kinda shake it off but i was bewildered to say the least.
I spend a lot of time at this place and so far can report no EMF abnormalities.

That is really interesting Icon. So, how far away was the closest person to the spray nozzle? Is it possible that it rolled into the chair because of some slight movement of the table?
OfflineI would estimate the closest person being at least 8+ feet from the nozzle.
Imagine a table designed for multiple families to eat on Sunday, extremely long and wide. One side of the table has fixed bench type seating and the other has normal chairs. It would take a couple of men on one corner to make it shift and I don't know what it would take to tilt it in a manner where things begin to slide off. A very valid question MK, though if you saw the tables sheer size you would soon realize that four stoic poker players within arms reach of each other had nothing to do with this movement near the other end.
So was it focused brain power and emotion that triggered this movement or simply another instance of the unexplained revolving around my friend?
I don't get the urge to post often( be glad guys:) so I'll share one more of his jaw droppers. I need to share this one because if it's left up to my buddy he never will.
Well, there is a girl that comes to visit my buddy from out of state 2 or 3 times per year. And when she's around/leaves things seem to escalate in terms of the unexplained around Bud. Bud has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. He's the type of guy that could be bleeding to death and wouldn't complain for fear of inconveniencing someone. If you had to, you could leave your naked wife and 2mil cash with him and never have to worry. The ultimate dude, also very private and would kill me if he knew i was writing this. Just wanna be clear of his credibility. I would probably consider his word over something i was fairly sure of.
So he's laying in bed one night(it may have been the night of chic leaving or the next) "very awake" he says. What he told me gave me a chill like no other and there would be no doubt of his coherence. He's laying there and all of a sudden he feels a 'bug' or something hit his covered feet. He said "I heard and felt the impact." As he lays there wondering what it could have been he realizes that it's the dead of winter and a bug is unlikely, this spooks him enough to not investigate immediately.
After getting the will to get up and turn on the light, examining the foot of the bed, nothing appears to be there.
The he see's it.
It makes him instantaneously begin a search for 'someone' playing games. Much to his dismay the house was empty. Besides, none of our friends are silent ninjas.
Something obviously didn't like Bud and Chic sharing a pan of cinnamon rolls because there in the floor as bright as day was a 'hunk' of cinnamon roll. This was impossible. Not only because cinnamon rolls don't throw themselves but also the fact the food NEVER left the kitchen. The very first thing i asked was if he was eating in bed. Negative. I saw the pan and it was almost untouched.
His room does adjoin near the kitchen but the creepy thing was after we went over all the facts and the 'hunks' final resting place, it was nearly impossible for it to be lying in it's position and been thrown directly from the kitchen. It was thrown from behind his head and glanced off near his feet. That means it would have had to of worked it's way through the living room and back around behind him.
If it wasn't Bud in question and I not seen the evidence myself… I wouldn't believe.

Very cool Icon. I thought you'd probably accounted for the questions I asked. So, would that be poltergeist activity then?
And your friend's cinnamon roll experience is really cool. Has he ever investigated more formally to try and find out if there might be a spirit in his house?
OfflineLet me try these pictures again… I hope this works.
YEAH!!!!! I got it!
Here is a brief description of the location each of these pics were taken:
Corp Marker…was taken standing in front of our room 156 looking towards the marker. Mind you as sitting out on our little patio my wife kept saying "I see movement over by that "rock"!" So she decided to snap a picture…this is what she got.
Fireworks:
Fireworks were being let off clear on the other side of Gettysburg, these are some of the images that we caught. Carolyn explained ectoplasms to us. (my wife kept saying….it's just the fireworks, but have other pics that we took that look just like a firework going off????)
Ecto:
I kept feeling like someone was behind me, smelt cherry tobacco and hearing noises so I shot this pic towards the railroad cut…this is what I got. It was a gorgeous clear night…so if not a spirit what is it?? No fog or mist was around at all.
Enjoy!!!!

cperkins, thanks for posting the pics and description.
I have no idea what it is, but enjoy looking. The light trails are quite long.
Thanks for sharing.
OfflineExtremely interesting pictures. If you blow up the very first one, above what looks to be like a horseshoe stake, it appears that there is something very faintly outlined. I'm not sure if it is a reflection of the light rods or something else, but it is very clearly there.
And I'd like to give a shout out to my new reading glasses, which allowed me to see that. Woot woot.
OfflineI think these are AWESOME shots! When Charlie and Kristy showed me these (and others) they took on their camera, I was stunned. When they said they took them during the fireworks that were taking place on the other side of Gettysburg, I was very excited. To me, they showed that the soldier spirits on the property were agitated or excited by the sound of the fireworks that almost duplicates cannon or artillery fire. This is especially telling since the suite where they were staying sits on approximately the same location where 4 cannon sat and were heavily engaged during the afternoon of Day One of the battle. It is also the location where there was spill over fighting between the 6th Wisconsin vs. the 55th N.C. and 2nd and 42nd Mississippi on the morning of Day One of the battle. During the retreat of the Union on the afternoon of Day One, many different Union regiments were also pursued through the property, on this ground, by the advancing Confederates.
That last shot shows the tree line which covers the infamous Railroad Cut. On the morning of Day One, the Union successfully engaged Confederate troops. After that part of the battle, there were 1,000 Confederate rifles picked up from the Railroad Cut. In the afternoon, the reverse took place and many Union troops were trapped and killed down in that Railroad Cut.
I can't wait until we have another fireworks exhibition in town. I'll be bringing my camera and taking pictures in this same location and all around the property to see if this agitation or excitement due to the similar sound a cannon would make is displayed again.
I have never been given spirit energy in this form before, but I have seen shots like this from other locations.
Thanks for sharing these amazing shots! There is so much going on in these pictures!
OfflineCharlie and/or Kristy,
Tell everyone about your "battery draining" that went on when I had you visit the office after midnight and what else happened to your camera. Also, didn't you hear cannon fire (one shot) in your room late one night?
I have smelled that wonderful cherry pipe tobacco many times on the open battlefield and also we at the hotel have smelled it as well (in the no-smoking lobby, office and breakfast prep area, and in the breezeway). That was a favorite of Confederate troops. I even recount in the magazine of an incident outside the breezeway where I was having a cig one late night and was enveloped with that wonderful aroma. After verbalizing "join me for a smoke," I walked up and down the length of the breezeway and it continued to follow me quite strongly. After finishing, I went inside the lobby/office. After several minutes, that heavy aroma followed me in. As soon as I explained that there was no smoking in the building, it immediately dissipated.

What type of camera were you using, and also were you using the flash?
I see a lot of pictures like this from digital cameras while using no flash. Not saying that is what is going on, only that is my experiences with similar pics. Insufficient lighting will cause the shutter to stay open longer. I'm not exactly sure why this happens, but it may have to do with the camera letting in more light. I do know when you take photos with long exposure times such as this, you should mount the camera on a tripod. This is due to the fact that even when we think we are being still when taking photos with no flash, that we tend to move, creating a blurred photo. Most times mounting the camera on a tripod prevents this, though I am sure there are instances of blur even while using a tripod.
Also, some of the lights could be bugs, which move so fast through frame that the computer can't make out what they are, thus the long lines of light. Once again, not saying that is what it is.
Nonetheless, interesting photos. I can't wait to see more more. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Thanks, I thought it was worth sharing. No formal investigation has been done and I doubt there ever will b/c of his 'image.' He's an Assistant Pastor.
Anyway, I feel it's something special about him and independent of where he may or may not reside. We've all heard the theory of people being haunted rather than places and with all the evidence and experiences involving Bud, I feel this may be an opportunity to peer into his families past for some possible answers.
After brainstorming with another close friend of mine, we came across a few things worth noting…
It turns out that I have another friend who we grew up with experiencing PN activity. Well, we may have found a connection between his and Bud's experiences. Turns out that Bud's grandpa and this dude's grandpa died of drowning(one trying to save the other)
Both report most of the same childhood experiences, voices, poltergeist etc.
Of course this may have no relation to the actual source of the problem, but it's interesting and may lead us to more answers.
