As someone who is sensitvie, I have experienced many many odd things. However, one night over the weekend I had an experience that I'm not sure what to think about it. I have an idea but I want other opinions, especially if someone else has experienced something similar.

It's rather hard to explain, but I'll describe it as accurately as I can.

My roommate was gone for the weekend, so I was home alone. I was sitting in my room, with my headphones in and the music pretty loud. Suddenly, I had this really strong feeling, that I sort of physically as well as psychically felt. The feeling was the equivalent of the sound of a lightbulb popping and then the lgiht going out. It was as if I FELT a light popping and then FELT the dark spreading where the light had been shining before. I did not hear any sound (other than my music), I simply felt the energy of whatever was happening, which I can only describe using the lightbulb analogy.

At first I was very confused, but then as I thought about it, I realized that it reminded me of an object apporting, but I was sure that if this is what had happened it was a person or other being and not an inanimate object.

Has anyone else ever experienced this, or heard of it happening? And do you have any other idea as to what it could have been?

Wow, that's a new one on me. It certainly sounds like it might be something or someone "apporting". Have you had any more phenomena since then that would indicate that someone came in and is hanging around you now?

Ive heard of apporting but as far as I know it is things appearing not people. I would think that if you think people you could be talking time travel /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> also the things apported could be a test before trying people /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I might be lying, but I'm telling the truth

Before this experience I have had other experiences here as well, the two biggest ones were seeing an apparition of a huge man standing in my room in front of the mirror, and having a lot of electronics act up all ot once. I had a netflix movie sitting on my printer and I decided to watch it one night. As soon as I touched the DVD the printer went berserk and started making all kinds of noise, then the wheels that pick up the paper started turning back and forth, for a ouple of minutes until I unplugged it. I waited a few minutes and plugged it back in. My printer has made weird noises before but not for thaat long, and it wasn't connected to a computer this time, and had not been used in a while. Then I put the DVD in but before I could skip the previews, it suddenly jumped to the last one before the movie. Then the screen said "stop", but I had not pressed any buttons on the remote. After that the sceen went blank, and then said "no signal". I hit "play" on the remote and the movie came back on while at the exact same moment the printer made another noise. Throughout the whole movie the picture kept messing up (this wasn't my dvd player, it works fine since; it could have been the dvd itself but I didn't notice anything wrong with it, and I have never seen one act like that.). At the time it really creeped me out because I had just been reading Shadows of the Dark by John Zaffis.

Other than that, I have had nights where I sleep with the TV on because I feel like I'm being watched, and last night I was standing at my desk, trying to fix my laptop, and a couple of times I felt like someone was standing behind me.

There have also been strange dreams that may have played into the activity, but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure if this is the same activity I experienced at my parents house that has followed me here. It reminds me a little of then, but I also lived somewhere else last year, and while I experienced some activity, it was nothing like this or like when I lived at home.

It reminds me a little of then, but I also lived somewhere else last year, and while I experienced some activity, it was nothing like this or like when I lived at home.

It sounds to me like someone is definitely trying to make you aware of their presence. I know it sounds silly, but if you sense he is around again or if the strange electrical problems happen again, try just saying out loud "You can stop now because I know you're here". In my experience, that almost always settles the activity down. Most spirits just seem to want someone to acknowledge them. I think they are so very, very lonely that they are always seeking someone who can at least sense their presence.

I can so relate to your situation because I also grew up in a house with LOTS of activity that carries on to this day. Our spirit, I call him my invisible friend, can definitely follow me around but I am not always sure if what is happening at any given time is him or not since I also get the occasional drop-in. It's hard to tell the difference between my friend and a stranger since it all feels the same – spooky!

How do you feel about this guy? Do you just want him gone or would you be willing to live with him if he would behave himself and follow your rules? This is important because if you just want him gone, you should tell him firmly that he is not welcome and you want him to leave right now. If he doesn't go, get a professional that you have confidence in to make him leave, whether that's a priest or clergy member, a Native American shaman, a Feng Shui master or whatever YOU believe will work.

IMHO you have to believe in the person who's doing the clearing because the spirit will sense your ambiguity and will use it against you if he wants to stay. I don't recommend using a paranormal investigator, but if you decide to bring in a paranormal investigator or a team of investigators, please make sure that they have enough experience to handle whatever is in your house. Many so called paranormal experts are just some people with cameras, recorders and EMF readers. Not only may they have no real experience with clearing a spirt, they may have more interest in interacting with the spirit and getting "evidence" than in getting rid of the spirit. Again, it's just my humble opinion, but I really believe that any interaction with a spirit such as trying to get EVPs, etc, encourages the spirit to hang around. Why would he leave when he has found someone willing to talk to him?

If you feel that this presence is negative or if he just feels threatening to you, don't mess around. Get rid of him ASAP. Don't let him get comfortable in your house.

If you don't mind him being around if he will follow some rules, then just tell him what your rules are very clearly and firmly. My personal rules are: I don't want to see or hear you, you can't scare me or my animals, you can't touch me, you can't make noise at night or disturb my sleep, and you can never, ever come into my bedroom. Then tell him that if he breaks any of those rules you are going to make him leave. That has always worked for me, altho I did once have the house cleared because I had something in my house that scared me so much when I saw it that I just wanted it gone immediately. I can't know for sure that whatever it was wouldn't have followed my rules but I didn't want it around, even if it would behave itself.

Other than that one entity I have always just told them what the rules of the house are and that if they break them they will have to go. As crazy as it sounds, they always follow my rules while they are here. One of the funniest things that has happened was that I once caught a spirit by surprise and he took off like a shot to keep from being seen. I saw him clearly, but since he obviously was doing all he could to obey my rules I cut him some slack and let him stay. I actually think I scared him more than he scared me because I thought at first that it was the guy who was cleaning the carpets but he was up in the attic suite. I think maybe that's what ran my guy downstairs where I saw him. :-)

I believe that most spirits are so lonely and that they so enjoy just being in a house with someone who senses their presence that they are willing to do whatever it takes to stay. That's not to say that they don't sometimes creep me out. I once had a spirit just come into the office and sit down in a chair while I was working on the computer. I felt someone's presence, then the chair made the noise it makes when someone sits in it. Whoever it was just sat there for a while and then the chair made the noise again when he got up and left. It's creepy, but not really scary. I had to add the "no touching" rule after my hair was gently stroked one day while I was reading a book. It was obviously kindly meant, but it scared the hell out of me when I remembered that I was supposedly alone in the house. :-)

Putting up with stuff like this is not everyone's cup of tea, so don't feel bad if you just want him gone. You have to be comfortable in your own house.

You didn't say whether anyone else lives with you. If so, are they having any experiences or is it focused on you? The spirits always leave my husband alone. I think they know that he would make them leave if he ever had an encounter that he couldn't explain away. He is not comfortable with the paranormal at all but he has learned to accept that he just has to put up with some of it if he's going to be married to me. He occasionally has some items swiped – that game is just too much fun for them NOT to play it. He gets annoyed, but fortunately HIS items are almost always returned quickly and he can explain away almost anything to be able to live with me. :-)

That's my advice, for what it's worth. Other people on this site will be able to relate to you as well and will have their own stories and advice for you.

Best of luck! Keep us posted, okay?

I actually experience things pretty often, being a sensitive, and I am also a paranormal investigator, and have my own team. So I'm not afraid of what's going on, I just thought that the experience was odd, and it wasn't something I have experienced before, so I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I don't know if the man I saw is really to the "apport" experience, or the electronic experiences, but I have a feeling something is going on that ties the electronics and the "apport" thing together, possibly along with a sequence of dreams that I had near the same time, but I think that man I saw was simply passing through. Definetely startled me though, especially because he was big.

I do have a roommate; she actually lived her by herself for about a year, so my room was empty. She has told me that she used to hear sounds from what is now my room all the time, but she could never get in because housing staff kept the door locked (campus housing). Other than that I'm not aware of any other experiences on her part, except for a general creepy feeling in the kitchen/living room area when it's dark. I also get creeped out when I go into those rooms at night, and if she's gone for th weekend, I either leave the light on or run through. Lol.

Anyway, I was hoping that someone had experienced a similar incident in which something had "apported" or they felt it had, especially another sensitive.
