I have a question for you all.
I keep finding pennies everywhere, some in the oddest places. I found one yesterday on top of the range. I cleaned the range before I went to bed and wiped the top down, so I don't see how it could have been there after I cleaned. I don't clean often, but when I do, I clean like a demon. It's not likely that I wouldn't have either seen the penny or knocked it off when I scrubbed the top of the range.
The oddest thing is that my husband has suddenly started finding dimes, and only dimes, the same way that I'm finding pennies.
It's odd enough that I'm wondering if there's some meaning in it, or if someone is trying to send my husband and I a message of some kind. I know that sounds nutty, but it really is happening a lot to both of us and it just suddenly started. It's not paranormal, technically, but it is extremely odd.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Do pennies and dimes have a meaning? Does finding them so often and in odd places mean something? I'm really interested in hearing what you all have to say about this.

I made two purchases yesterday and got one penny back as change for one transaction and $3.01 back for another.
I know it's probably all coincidence, but I can't help but wonder why so many pennies and so suddenly.
I was hoping someone would know a legend, story, etc. about what finding pennies (and dimes) means. The only thing I've ever heard is that they are a sign from deceased loved ones that they are still around, but it seems odd that our deceased relatives would just suddenly start playing with coins.
We did all find dimes in weird places after my grandmother died. I found one in the parking lot as we left the hospital right after she died and my mom found one on the driver's seat of her car when we got there. It went like that for a solid week, but nothing since then.

As Chad said, there is the Pennies from Heaven theory. When I moved into my townhome, I kept finding pennies everywhere … behind doors, on windowsills, etc. It was definitely odd. I know the man who had lived there with his wife had passed away.
Whether the pennies had been accidentally dropped there, placed there by the man's wife, or … something else, I'll never know!
Dimes … not sure about that one. Googled it and find a few things, one being "angel dimes."

When my grandfather died, we started having pennies all around the house. One day I walked out and one was on my pillow and my piano keyboard. I was at the piano playing Chopin when my mother called to tell me my grandfather died. I always thought the pennies were from him, and the one on the piano was letting me know he was with me when I heard of his death.

That's lovely, NoWhammies. I wonder why they use coins to communicate with us? Are they easy to manipulate somehow?
On a personal note, I'm now finding quarters. Two examples: one was in the middle of my wallet when I opened it and I found another in the dryer with a load of towels. I know it wasn't in there when I put them into the dryer, so where the heck did it come from? That's two today and I haven't even left the house yet.
I just wish I knew what it means, if anything.

My father in law, who is both religious and a skeptic at the same time, likes to tell the story of his Aunt. While alive she would find money everywhere, in some rather large denominations too…up to 20.00 at a time sometimes.
After she died, probably 40 years ago, my father in law would find money all over the place as well. And one of his daughters (my wife) also finds money similarly.
Could be just a weird set of coincidences but…I don't think so. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
