i am sorry to MK and sithy and all the others on here that know me on here for not posting in so long but this is what i have for now.
i was sitting at my computer playing online poker had my headphones on jamming to the music on my ipod lights were off when i got a strange feeling some one was behind me now my computer is in the basement my mom and dad were asleep upstairs cause it was 3 am the basement door was closed and didn't open so when i got this feeling i turned to look nothing was there so i called myself a dumb **** and turned back around and continued my poker game about 5 minuets later i got the feeling again but payed no mind then i saw a hand come over my right shoulder but when i jumped and looked cause it startled me it was gone
it wasn't a trick of light cause i seen it go across the front my computer tower when the lights are off the front of my tower is a shadow cause my tower is black. side note i was not scared of it i didn't feel threatened by it at all
so if you would let me know what you think of what i saw even if you think i am nuts tell me that too

Quick question: was this your first experience in your house or is there a history of paranormal activity? I'm new to this site.

when i was a kid i herd foot steps and i hear a car door close to this day both i think are my grandfather the house i live in was his and the car door i hear comes from the garage that has the last car he bought before he died that i am currently restoring
EDIT: i forgot to mention that my grate grandmother was the only person to die in this house she died of age at 101 year sold

Are there windows in the basement? Aside from a shadow being cast by something outside a window, I can't think of anything else.
But, given that you had a strong sense of presence that coincided with the experience . . .

the computer room has no windows in it just a doorway with a blanket for a door and the door if 5 feet from my computer but like all lights were off except for the computer
