To be honest, I'm not seeing anything.

It's on the right side of pillars toward the middle, at least thats what I saw on the second photo. I'm not sure what it is, but it's interesting.

This picture was taken on our last trip up to Wellington. I was quickly going through them and tossing them out when I saw this one and decided to keep it. I'm sure it is just a discoloration of the pillars (I actually have another picture taken a bit later that shows the discoloration a bit more).

The tiny picture doesn't do it much justice, but clicking on the pic and seeing the larger image may make it more visible. Then again, maybe not. It is just too blurry and pixelated to call it anything but a good trick of the eyes…

That's good that you had other pics to compare it too. One of the reasons to take a ton of photographs when you go somewhere /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

We make it a habit of taking at the very least two pics in succession for just these types of things. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Well since they are not of the same 'focal point' or "point of view" – and the lighting is very questionable. It's hard to say what you've got other than light distortion.

What should have happened is that the pics were taken at the same focal/point of view. No way of telling anything at all.

Sorry – am not meaning to be PIB …

Actually, they are the same picture; the bottom one is blown up and the other picture that I was talking about was taken in the exact same spot. /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> But yeah – bad lighting and distortion. This picture was actually lightened, which probably contributed the most to the 'figure.'
