Thank you for posting this, it really does sound very similar!

I have not heard a single noise besides my little girl on that monitor since I posted my experience.

nypdretired: no kidding!

Thanks for sharing this KK! Wow, it is just as RubysMommy experienced. I hope she stops by to read this. It is so validating to learn that someone else has had the same thing happen.

Without trying to sound strange…couples…word of caution…turn off the transmitter before engaging in any…er…future baby making lest your neigbors know all about it…. /ohmy.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Plus remember these are Receivers – Transmiters. They can also pick up distorted cell-phones (I've heard pieces of convo's to put it together) – animals sounds out side the transmiters side of the house/window – if the window is slightly cracked opened to allow air-flow … then you have a whole spectrum of natural noises that can be picked up.

Granted, they do pick up lots of extraneous noises. But does that really explain these experiences?

When we were living in Utah, a DJ there was EXTREMELY disturbed one morning because the night before she had heard a man's voice on her baby monitor saying "Frederica… Frederica" from her baby's nursery while the baby was sleeping in her crib. She went racing into the room to check and found no one in the room.

The strange part about this was that her daughter's name was Frederica, which is a pretty unusual name. She was desperate for a logical explanation because it spooked her and because ghosts ran counter to her religious beliefs. Many people called in to share equally strange experiences, which made her not feel so alone but did nothing to ease her mind.

There are more things in heaven and earth, and all that jazz.
