Am I the only one here that has never been on an investigation?

It's not that I dont want to go on one, I'd love to very much, but it's not been that easy to find a way…for me at least.

I've looked into groups in my area. I've found special events that you pay to attend, but I'm not really sure that's

what I want to do. As for groups in my area, you cant just "hook up with one". I assume because of the explosion

in paranormal popularity they have long waiting lists of people wanting to go out with them.

So, I often wonder if I'm the only person here that HASNT ever been on an investigation /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I've invited her several times but I respect her wishes and do not try to force something like this onto her. I'm even treating her as a client and getting permission before doing an investigation at my house.

One does not have to go on an investigation to be a ghost hunter.

I'm sure I know what you mean…but the way it's worded doesnt make sense haha.

I assume you mean I could do it myself…but where?

I want to experience a real investigation. Not me wandering

around alone…with no real equipment of any kind hoping

to stumble on something.

Does that make sense?

What I was saying is that some people prefer the other jobs of ghost hunting. Some just enjoy the research, some enjoy just the evidence review.

I have never been on an "official" paranormal investigation.

I think our upcoming Waverly investigation will be the closest thing that I have done so far that might count as an investigation. But I've never investigated with a paranormal group.

I've never been on an investigation. I just don't have the time with a full time job, a kid running around, and another one on the way. Not that I wouldn't enjoy doing one sometime in the future, but it's just not feasible right now.

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

I wonder also. I've never been on one.

I've ruled out the pay to attend, not because of the money on my end, but I just don't think that route is in my best interest.

Seems sort of planned.

I've checked with groups in my area, and wait listed as they aren't excepting new members.

A few of my friends, several times we go to a local location, run a recorder, site quietly for hours, snap a few pictures if something odd is noticed by one of us. We pass around the recording and listen afterwards. It's all pretty uneventful. lol We ask, if anyone is here and would like to communicate with us, and let it go at that, just listen and watch.

We aren't sure if we even want to buy more equipment, and question if it will really work, regarding the paranormal. For now we are just happy with what we do. I would not even call what we do an investigation. We are on the historical board for our township, and the buildings we went to we have alreay researched.

We thought maybe we would see something, and we have one location we will revisit several times in the fall.

You're not alone there Heidi….I've never been on one either, but would love to.

I wonder if we could put something together for those that will be in Gettysburg next Aug.

I've never been on a full blown investigation either. I've puttered around with a digital recorder in the house and elsewhere. Waverly will be the first 'real' one. I am hoping to get a group together in our area, though, and know of people who have equipment, experience and the desire to start.

BTW: love new new pic /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I'm seriously considering it. It's close enough I could drive…and the timing is much better.

Waverly is right when I go back to school /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

what's the weekend that Kim picked out for Gettysburg? I hope that doesn't interfere with school starting. I'll have to find his Gettysburg thread.

I've only done one organized hunt- and after something followed me home it quickly went from my first to my last lol.

Have you had personal experiences or are you looking to have one? For me I really wanted to go on an organized hunt to try and capture evidence. I've decided since then that I'd rather deal with paranormal experiences that I don't have evidence for- evidence creeps me out.
