I met my guardian Allan Kendall about one year ago. My sister was moving out of the house, and I got to move into her old bedroom. It took her about three weeks to actually get everything moved out, and every other day or so, I would walk down the hallway (the room was at the very end) to check if she'd moved more of her stuff out. Usually the answer was no. But nearly every time I walked down the hallway or just passed by the hallway, I felt as if someone was at the other end, in front of the door to the room, just staring back at me. It was a really creepy feeling, but I ignored it. At this point I had never really thought about whether I believed in ghosts or not, and I had never heard the word 'paranormal'. It was until later, when other things began happening that I mentioned it to my friends and one of them told me to watch a show called "Ghost Hunters" that I heard the word.

Anyway, I finally moved into the room, and almost every time I entered the room, I felt like someone was stepping out of the way to let me pass. Again, I ignored it. Soon whenever I went to bed at night, I felt as if someone was standing in the corner by the door, watching me. This made me really uncomfortable and I could find no explanation, so I chalked it up to tiredness. Then one day, I was walking out of my room and I got a picture of a man in my mind. It happened all of a sudden, I wasn't trying to do it, I was just going about my day normally. He was tall, brown/blond kinda spiky hair, his eyes were in shadow, he wore a black trench coat, and he seemed to be brooding. I didn't know where this image came from, it was just instantaneous. I just ignored it, even though it bothered me a little for some reason. Later that week, I was walking across the room, and I saw the image in my mind again, but this time was different. This time, it came with a name. Allan Kendall.

I must admit that at first I had no idea who he was or why he was there, and I didn't believe that what was happening was real. I started to question my sanity. This kept happening. I've had many experiences with the paranormal, and with Allan, but to make the story short, I didn't really truly believe he was real and that he was my guardian until June this year, when he saved my life. I was in a pretty bad car crash (side impact, on my driver's side), and the paramedics and my family were shocked that I didn't have to be airlifted to the hospital. I had no broken bones, no cuts, just one single bruise on my arm, and not even a deep one at that. I knew he was there. When it happened I could feel him, and after I felt him there with me, comforting me. Since then I talk to him a lot more. He is my guardian, my friend, and my teacher/mentor. Although I can't say I always listen to him, I can say that I don't doubt him very often anymore. And I'm getting better at listening to him, because I have found that most often, he is right. No matter how cryptic and mysterious he likes to be! /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Also, just a side note, I guess, he's not actually my spirit guide. He has told me that he is "stepping in" for my spirit guide (don't know what happened to my actual spirit guide…), and that his job is to "protect me at all costs". I don't know what this means either, and Allan, of course, is not telling.

Wow, Sam. Its nice that you have been contacted and have a name for your guide. If I have a spirit guide, he's really busy and probably as frustrated as I am!

I posted in the Spirit Guide thread about being contacted by someone else's spirit guide after a particularly disturbing nightmare. It was certainly a new experience for me, but very comforting.

I hope you have a great experience on the forum. There are a bunch of really great people here and any paranormal topic you can think of to discuss.

Thanks for sharing.
