I have been a paranormal investigator for a year now. Not once have I had a personal experience except for the occasional EVP. I recently made friends with a gal from work that has a true gift in being able to see and speak with spirits. She and I went to visit an *active* cemetary that she told me about. It had been raining heavily and that makes for good manifestation energy.
We were about to leave and decided to do a little more recording. I had my huge black and white umbrella open, asking for someone to come and spin it, to let me know they wanted some attention. My friend was standing in front of me…to the side. She motioned for me to drop my umbrella lower, behind my shoulder. She quietly stated that there was a small girl behind me that wanted to touch it but couldnt reach it. So… I did. I was startled when I felt the lower part of the umbrella being tugged on !! NO KIDDING !! I could see my friend in front of me… there was a very slight breeze but not enough to move the umbrella and this was a significant downward tugging. I made sure to thank the child and tell her what a good job that was. I wasn't scared….just very very stoked to have had my first personal experience. What a rush !!

I love hearing experiences about the after life involving kids, even when they're not here physically we all still feel a connection to them. I often wonder what its like to be on the "other side" as a child. Is there anyone they can talk to? Play with them? Love them? Perhaps, they don't need all these things that are a part of the physical world. Still I wonder…

Not to be -- well .. the stick in the mud. I have had this happen and reported to happen more then a few times in my years. I'm 56 and have done P.I. for a good number of those years.
The problem with this is "thermals" and "Thermodynamics" … umberellas are not a 'reliable' source. They are just over sized "Pin Wheels". Now IF your friends was evem a 'little' savy on this – which she could easily deny – (but I've had so called psychics deny various sciences) only to find later, well … they "understated the facts". If there was breeze and with the rain .. thermodynamics could be easily at play. Believe it or not it really does not take much when the 'angle' is just right and the breeze and such is just right .. even just a little can cause a spin at the right angle. You add to it tomb stones, deflecting and reflecting wind and such …
What should be done now to validate this is – take a few different size umberellas during the same time and hey some pin-wheels too! And just see what happens. I think one would/will find … well either there is a lot of 'paranormal' going on .. or thermodynamics.

I deleted the post…as per JJB's request….though it will still be contained in KK's response. I must say that I wish that JJB had been extended the same consideration though.
