We have some exciting news! Paranormal Underground Magazine has had such a huge request by our readers for a paper version of the magazine that we will now offer a Publish On Demand option for those wishing to purchase a paper copy of each issue, starting right now with the August 2009 issue.
Visit http://paranormalunderground.m…..cloud.com/ to purchase a print copy of the August issue. It will be mailed to you within 7 days!
(Past issues will be made available over the next month or so, and future issues will be added each month by the end of the first week of the issue month date.)
This Publish On Demand option features:
--Freedom for readers to purchase any issue of their choice, from one issue to as many issues as desired.
--Exceptional print quality: Smooth, glossy paper and high-quality printing by MagCloud (the Publish On Demand company that we’re utilizing).
--Plastic wrapping for single issues purchased and box wrapping for multiple issue ordered.
The cost of each issue will vary depending on each magazine's page count and shipping fees.
But don't worry! The online version will still be available for free! So, for those readers who want a paper copy, they can purchase it. But for those readers who just enjoy reading the magazine for free online, this option will remain available! This way, Paranormal Underground is meeting the demand of those who have been requesting a paper copy AND those who only want to read online. Best of both worlds right!!!
The August 2009 issue is now available for print (available here: http://paranormalunderground.m…..cloud.com/), and we will announce once past issues are available for order.
We’ll also be putting together special compilations in the near future, such as a Case Files of the Unknown series, a Fiction anthology, Special Reports, etc.
Cool, finally. (the price is a little steep though) /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />
I know the price per issue is higher than a regular subscription-per-issue price would be, but publish on demand does offer some flexibility. For instance, you can pick and choose which issues you'd like a paper copy of.
Also, the price per issue depends on page count, so it will fluctuate from issue to issue. Some issues are under 60 pages, and our highest hit 100 pages.
Right now we're somewhat limited on print options. To move to a subscription-based option, we'd need at least 1,000 confirmed annual subscribers! We'll get there some day. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I can vouch for the quality of MagCloud (the print on demand publisher) though. I have one in my hands now, and it is BU-TI-FUL!

Yeah – it is a tad steep. Unfortunately, we have limited options right now for print – which is why we are using print on demand. MagCloud sets our prices. Hopefully some day we can do it a different way. This is an option for those of you who choose it. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> We're working really hard on coming up with ways that we can move into print – this is our first iteration!!
