As you can see, the new site has been launched, including the forum.
Working through a few issues still, but please give your feedback!
I couldn't use my old password and had to reset it. It is going to take me awhile to get used to the new forums. I will give some feedback once I find my way around.
EDIT – I did log off but saw that I was still listed as being online even though I did log off. I had to log on to post a comment. I preferred the older version where I am not shown as being online until I actually log on.
OfflineI'm sorry about that Nightwatcher. Thanks for hanging in there with us.
I think it's just a matter of getting used to the new look. At least it is for me.
So, it seems that maybe our members will need to reset their password to enter the system again. For anyone who can't get in using their existing password from our old forums, please just reset your password, and you should have no problem going forward.

I tried to post a comment and it vanished. Let me try this again.
My time is EST. That would be 10:54 PM. The comments are showing up 5 hours ahead….. 3:54 AM.
Nightwatcher, you need to set your time zone in your profile user settings area and use the scrolling list to choose the city closest to you.

OfflineIt is a good idea with the bold message: "You must reset your password to log in to new site." There appears to be a few bugs with the new forum but that is to be expected. I did have to reset my password last night and again just a few minutes ago. I will have to get used to the new forum and to find my way around.
If some members used an old email address that is long abandoned to register on the older forums, then they could always re-register I presume to become members again.
I am looking forward to being very active on the new forums. I will share my own paranormal experiences, ask questions of other members and also offer answers to questions that others asked. Plus I did start up a topic that offered helpful hints to make living easier and also to save money.
I plan on being very active on the new forums during 2013. I have much to share with the members and also with the readers. This is one great forum and very friendly members are here. It is one of the most friendly forums on the internet from my own experiences for about a year.

OK, everyone will need to reset their password upon logging in for the first time on the new site here.
When you are on the log in form, click "forgot password." After you reset your password, you can change it any time in your Profile area.
My question is why would one need to change a password after resetting it? I know for security reasons that it is a good idea to change a password from time to time. I use very strong and complicated passwords. Can anybody actually see a reset of a password?

Thank you MysticalKnight. I did set my time zone to EST. The time of my postings now have the correct time of 3:53 PM EST. But the comment shows up as 3:53 PM PST. I am OK with that but wanted you to know about it.
OfflineThanks very much Nightwatcher. It is good to hear that you are finding this forum a great place to be!
We had to reset the forum again this morning, so that is why you had to reset the password again. I think this is the last time we will need to reset the forum, so you shouldn't need to do it again. Everyone else will need to reset upon coming in here for the first time since the transition to the new forum.
I think you will also need to reset your timezone again too, since the forum was reset. If that doesn't work, please let me know!

After resetting password I still have the message: "You must reset your password to log in to new site." It shows I'm logged in but the message is still there. I'm sure its one of the few bugs that need to be ironed out. Wanted to pass this along as well.

Hi Stayfrosty,
That is actually a static message at the top of the forum. We will remove it in a few weeks.

OfflineI have been posting comments on this particular blog for about one year. I have found it to be a very friendly forum to post my comments. I have never been "beat up" or found unfriendly people here. I have posted comments on other web sites and was told that I was stupid, a wacko job or delusional. On one web site I was told that I was "gross" by the moderator. Some of you have figured out what web site that I posted comments on. On that particular web site, I used the screen name of "Papaver" because I grow various poppies (horticulture) and because the name "nightwatcher" was already taken.
This particular web site "Paranormal Underground" http://www.paranormalunderground.net/ is now my home to post my knowledge and wisdom. I will not post anything political. I will only post my knowledge, wisdom, food recipes, scientific knowledge and of course my own paranormal experiences.
I invite others to join and post your comments of your knowledge and wisdom. This is the place that I will post all of my knowledge and wisdom. This is my home to post my knowledge and wisdom while I am able to in my mortal life. I have a lot to share but maybe time is not there for me.
If you have any paranormal stories or ghost stories, please post them here. You will not get beat up or made fun of here. This web site has all friendly people here, including the moderators.

OfflineWhere is everybody? I see 2859 members but hardly no comments. In the past when I read the comments on the old PUG forums, there would be anywhere from 40+ to 100+ viewers and members viewing the comments for the past hour. What has changed? Last that I checked there were only 9 viewers. What has changed? A lesser time like 15 minutes instead of 60 minutes for the number of viewers at a given time?
OfflineBe adivesed PUG.
I tried to log on and post comments to a KARMA topic and kept getting the message:

Anyway, there are some problems that need to be expected in a new or revamped web site. I just wanted you to know PUG.
