They fear ridicule, being made fun of, or it effecting their life in some way(people judging ect.) Often, because of their position in life, or perhaps in their family, they have too much to lose by revealing a piece of phenomenal evidence. You open yourself up to complete judgement- both by the paranormal world, and by your peers, coworkers and community. I'm not sure if the average person is ready to open that kind of Pandora's box.

Good point! I don't think I would share even if I had the most amazing piece of evidence ever captured.

I'd show a few people I really trust, but I would have no desire to go through what would result from making it public. I wouldn't even give anyone a copy of the evidence for fear that they would put it up on youtube or something.

I personally do not believe that there is any evidence that would satisfy the doubters and I'm not sure you could truly satisfy the believers. There's ALWAYS a way that evidence can be faked and how would you ever prove that you didn't fake it?

Plus it's not just yourself that will be subject to close examination and ridicule. Your entire family would also come under fire. Can you imagine?

Why would anyone put themselves through that?

The problem with Google - Youtube and other on-line video's is they are flooded with 'mud' - Hoaxes and scams.

Even the TV shows are not even taken seriously anymore because they make it quite clear it's all about the "Wow!" effect (faked) to bring ratings ... up. Not credibility and integrity.

Anyone know anything about this Mabel Ghost and the Documentary that was supposed to be made about it? The youtube clips are a few years old. Seems like it caused a bit of a stir on youtube and the internet, but I had never heard of it before. The videos are pretty creepy, but I'm very skeptical of them. Plus my internet search has revealed no documentary on this.

Here he is using xmas bells as a ghost alarm. Be very very careful when using sharp objects, you could cut your finger off.
