I'm enjoying Fionna Shaw's acting chops. Although, I keep seeing Petunia, from H. P.

Maybe she and uncle vernon will make Eric sleep in the cupboard under the stairs?

I don't think she screwed up the spell. I think she did something magical to the baby on purpose. She had that look on her face that said she was up to something while she was casting the spell, IMO.

I loved Lafayette pre Jesus, but now he seems to have lost his edge. Just my opinion, of course. He is wicked funny, though.

I haven't been a big an of the show, but I have to admit that I underestimated the actor who plays Eric. He's actually very talented. The switch from evil, cynical Eric to the wide-eyed young vampire he's playing now was an impressive one.

Still love Pam best, though. Never a dull moment when she's on screen. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I agree w/your observation on Lafayette, while I do usually enjoy Lala story lines, this one…meh not so much. I think he's funnier wisecracking from the sidelines…Alexander Skargard (Eric Northman) comes from an acting family, in fact his father plays Bootstrap Bill in the Pirates of the Carribbean movies and he was also in Angels and Demons as the head of the Vatican Guard, sooo. Alex himself was one of the models in Zoolander and appeared in HBO's generation kill. I can only hope that Pam and Sookie develop the relationship they have in the book which is really interesting and would be fun. Pam is the most consistant character as far as I'm concerned.

/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> I did think it was funny Eric installed a cabinet similar to a cupboard down to his cubby. Don't know with Fionna on the show if a Harry Potter joke was intended, but you know where my mind went, I laughed.

Not a fan of Jesus story line. I felt they could of found another road to introduce Lafayette to witches. But, I read Alan Ball wanted Layfayette to have a love interest. Lafayette is one of my favorite characters, but love is making him appear stupid, which is one thing he is not.

Stellan Skarsgard as Bootstrap Bill made my eyes tear up, he was excellent in this role. Skarsgard's really are an acting family. I see Alexander's brothers show up in the IFC films I watch. They all are fairly good on their own.

Stellan, I always thought as a very strapping man, and enjoy what he brings to the screen.

Alex was a riot in Zoolander, he is very talented. There is a remake of Straw Dogs coming out with Alex in it. Hope the remake, is worthy won't get my hopes up, as the original was very good. I will see it, just because Alex is in it.

My daughter and I play this game, what will happen on T. B. next week, throwing about possible plot options. Sometimes wie even bet each other, $. lol

She's suggesting that Claudine was really Queen Mab, when Eric fed from her.

I don't think it's the Queen, only… if she's not dead. But, when Claudine showed up and said Sookie you must come with me, this is not a request, could be the Mabbie.

I'm finding it hard to believe the writers would just kill off Claudine in such a stupid way, if she's really dead, and I like Claudine.

I want light bomb balls to fly from my hands. How cool would that be, in a fight. /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Fight heck, I could just toss them at drivers on their cell phones. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

The woman at the end, brought back from the dead? One of the witches made that ayron comment about Eric.

My mind went back to Eric and Godric in the s s uniforms. I have not been able to find any easter eggs this season, so far.

Allan Ball normally drops hints here and there, for me to ponder. We watch each episode a second time just looking for clues. Maybe the woman at the end is Eric's first experience with witches, blast from the past.

During the first two seasons I would slow mo the previews and see things. Last year he must have caught on, lol cause the previews have been cleaned up.

Yes, I have an addiction for this show and at times think it's very funny. Hardly ever watch tv shows, but it's been along time since Twin Peaks and

Northern Exposure for me, the same feeling is back.

I have to be VERY VERY careful w/my comments while watching true blood because Monkette has NOT read the books and doesn't want to know what's going on that way to ruin the story. I've told her on numerous occassions that the books are pretty different then the TV show that while certain plot points get revealed new avenues are always turning up…so it IS possible to have read the books and STILL not know the twists Mr. Ball will add to the flow.

I'm deeply upset about the portrayal of the Fae in the tv series. Maybe they're going to combine the two battles into one epic free for all (fae war on two planes and one with the witches). I'm sort of not sure how they're going to portray witches and what sort of "powers" they'll take on. I was also very put off by what they did with Hot Shot and the were panthers. If they are able to channel past lives then who knows what is in store. But if I remember the books, shifters played prominently in the battle against the witches and I have a feeling that may be what's going to happen here. I also hope they bring Amanda and Bob in from New Orleans. They were favorites in the books for me.

Another strong episode, Pam is going to wring Marnie's neck when she gets a hold of her. Not sure if there were any good quotes to be gleened, I'll have to watch it again.

I like seeing Eric's softer side, the only time we saw the less cocky Eric was he was around Godric. I wonder what will happen to Jason. Poor Pam, I feel bad for her but anticipate what she is going to do to Marnie. Arlene's baby is bad & I thought my nephews were evil. Debbie didn't seem too happy that Alcide helped Sookie.

Sookie seems to attract problems but that's the point isn't it?

I thought the way Alcide's furry half reacted to Eric in the water was hysterical, it looked confused..LOL. I've read else where that the priests who tortured and killed that necromancer back in the middle ages were (was?) supposed to be vampires? Perhaps that's the significance of burning Pam's face? And oh yes, I told Monkette that I'm just beside myself awaiting Pam's retribution. I think Eric and Pam are the best and are almost really true to the book versions of themselves. The actor/actresses compliment the roles so well that when I do read the books, I see THEM. I imagine Bill and Sookie a little differently.

Here are the "arcs" I'd like to see go, in no particular order…

- The Mickens in general perhaps this latest betrayal will make Tommy be a better person, but I wouldn't count on it, good riddance and don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out the door.

- Jesus ( realize they're doing it to flesh out Lafayette's character a little, but really doesn't add anything, he gave up Southland for this???)

- Hotshot. While creepy for the way they live and how their "society" perpetuates itself, I preferred the way the books did it

- Andy Bellfleur as a V addict….yawn

Here are some things on the "bubble" for me…

- Alcide who I like from the books but am disappointed in what's being done to him on screen

- I'm sort of glad that Sam is turned the corner on his a-hole behavior from last season.

- Tara is actually enjoyable this year

Things I'm dying to see explored…

- Pam's making (wondering if they'll keep it true)

- the "Authority" that they keep referring to, is it one person at the top? Is it a commission?? I know in the books there's a conclave kind of thing that was the point of the going to Dallas. Godric was completely different in the books and NOT Eric's maker

- I'm wondering if Quinn will be in the TV series.

***also is it just me or did Bill Compton have a Ralphie "oh fudge…but i didn't say fudge" moment when he and Caroline Bellfleur (Andy & Portia's gram) were going over the family tree…..hahahahahahahaa oooopsie and a AWWWWKWAAAAARD!!!

One thing I like about the show is the way they just kill people off quickly, with no cliffhangers or drawn out plot lines. Bam! They're just dead.

Lafayette was more like his old self in this episode. I like that. I'm with Monk on this one: Jesus can't be written out of the show soon enough to suit me. I just don't like him and I don't like how Lafayette is with him. He's lost his edge, IMO.

I've realized I didn't post any quotes for this episode….there are two that stand out for me…

1) Marnie the witch: WOULD YOU ALL STOP SAYING F$#&?! IT'S DISTRACTING ME

2) Pam: What kind of lame @$$ witches are you guys that you can't remember your own spells?

3) Pam: Lafayette, I always have a special place in my dungeon for you!! (it's just the way Pam says ANYTHING that usually makes her lines so priceless)

After thinking some more about the episode, could the doll have written on the wall? That doll freaks me out.

I don't remember what season it was either 1 or 2 but it was when Bill had killed a vamp that attacked Sookie at Fangtasia & I thought he had met with the authority. I know his punishment was to turn someone & that's when he turned Jessica.

The Magister was who Bill was brought before for killing Longshadow. The Magister, if I understand the powerstructure correctly. oversees the sheriffs for entire kingdoms (plural). Because Longshadow was an employee of Eric and Eric is the sheriff, the decision was taken out of his hands and brought to the Magister. It also involved the slaying of another vampire over a human. Again, the Magister is a sole creation of the TV series and is not in the books. In the books, there's a yearly conclave that happens in different parts of the country where all the kingdoms get together to work out treaties and such. Bill himself sat on a judicial council to decide the fates of vampires found in violation of their laws that went beyond the scope of a sheriff's jurisidiction. In the books, Eric doles out the justice for Longshadows death or attempts to.

***The Magister is the Authority's enforcer on the ground, the impression I get is that only a select few get to interact directly with the Authority. Nan Flanigan appears to be one who does as she's sort of spearheading the mainstream front.***

Okay, I had gotten a little confused. I have a feeling that Nan is probably the Authority or she has some pull with the authority. I really need to start reading the books to see how the story differs from book to show. I need to find a library near my home or job.

**************************POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERTS***********************************

Here's some show highlights mixed in with some quotes.

So I guess prayers do get answered, the Mickens go BYE BYE. ♫ happy days are here again dah dah dah dah daaaahhhh♪ Finally, of course now Tommy has the goods on Sam (which I don't like as Tommy has never revealed himself to be a pillar of society or good judgement). Now if I could just get Tommy to disappear as well. The whole scene w/Andy Bellefleur pulling Sam over was priceless!! There are times when I wish profanity was allowed here at PUG only because Andy screaming when he found the contents of the van was just hysterically funny (to me).

Tommy Mickens: I stayed in the van and didn't kill no one…

Sam Merlotte: And Jesus wept….

HAHAH

Speaking of Andy, enough with the V already. Get yourself together man!

They need to get to the point w/Arlene and Terry's baby what's the deal w/all this already?

I thought Tara's mother and Reverend Daniels was funny in a sad way…

Arlene: We don't have a demon here…we only have a ghost…

Lettie Mae (after a moment to let the new sink in): Oh just a ghost? Well it'll work on that TOO!!!

Arlene: Terry why Rev. Daniels? I thought you were getting a priest from our church

Terry: I like Rev. Daniels, they sing at his church it's a lot more lively.

Perhaps the Jesus angle will get more interesting now that his grandpop in Mexico is getting involved. It looks to me like battle lines are starting to be formed concerning the showdown w/the witches. In fact while the Jason dreaming of Jessica thing was funny I could of lived w/out that scene in favor of more with meeting "your crazy @$$ grandpa".

Bill (to Pam who walks in dressed in black w/a giant veil over her face): Oh good the world needs more beekeepers.

Bill (to Pam after he sees how she's rotting): Isn't there something cosmetic you can do…like more lipstick?

Pam: Yeah well, here's the problem with that (she pulls part of her lower lip off)

Bill: So the veil it is

One of Bill's other sheriffs to Pam: "Oh honey your ear" Pam's ear falls off.

That's all I have right now.

I think the Jason & Jessica part was my favorite this episode. My other half about ran out of the room before Jason woke up. He asked me what kind of show are you watching. Next week's preview looks to be a weird one.

Monk – do they talk about ghosts in the books? Just wondering if that is what is really going on with Arlene & Terry.

I'm trying to think. I read a couple of different "paranormal themed" book series and I think that True Blood (aka Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries) is the only one that DOESN'T have ghosts. Aside from everything you've seen, there aren't any suprises for new beasties….although, I do miss Mr. Cataliades and his nieces, they're demons. Mr. C was Queen Sophie Anne's lawyer. I don't think Quinn is going to make an appearance either, he's a Were-Tiger.

I think he might and if so maybe then he will be interesting….that is a very good question.

I am now reading the first book Dead Until Dark. With my coupon and Barnes & Noble membership, the book was only $5. I love coupons and membership.
