OfflineSeason 3 episode 11 "Fresh Blood"
Memorable Lines…
Pam: This is NOT just about your relationship, you infatuated 'tween…there IS a bigger picture
Bill: not for me
Pam (to Bill as they're fighting): Colloidal silver, in stock and overpriced at your neighborhood health food store.
Pam: Don't leave me alone w/this idiot immigrant
Evetta: IDIOT??? In Tallinn I'm a cardiologist!!!
Jesus: Let's do it again!?
Lafayette: Just LIKE a virgin!
Russell (to Eric): Talbot adores this one….adored. I'm having a problem switching tenses, you understand?
Russell (also to Eric): Don't beg for mercy, it's such a bore!
Summer: I even offered him my virginity and he turned me down flat
Maxine: Summer, I appreciate that, even if you did break God's rule.
Maxine (to Summer): you are as cute as pigs
Andy Bellefleur (to Tara): Used to drink hot sauce right out of the bottle…that was a good time.
Holly: Are you sure you're in good health?
Arlene: I got the body of a tired teenager!
Russell: Do you think I wouldn't notice fairies bouncing around in the world?
Sookie: Nothing in my blood is supernatural sunscreen for y'all!
Russell: Oh well, THAT'S reassuring…a testimonial from the mendacious Mr. Compton
Eric (to Pam): You know I love you more when your cold and heartless.
Russell: WE ARE SCHOOLED…ONWARD TO ADVENTURE!
Russell: It's fairies??!! F#@$ing FAIRIES!!! Who knew?
Russell (to Pam): thousands of years of night…you can not know.
Summer: I opened up my heart to him. I showed him my best underwear. There's nothing else I can do.
Eric [to Russell]: Be brave. We'll die together.
Jason: Everyone in this town ain't what they're supposed to be. So… you turn into a panther. I love you.
Russell: It always starts w/graffiti a true sign of your the dying reign. Soon, there will be anarchy – and, then, there will be me.
Arlene: I don't know if God is on board for this.
Russell [to Eric]: You are nothing more than a lump of muscle with a blood grudge.
Lafayette: We could end up in Hell, or f**kin South Dakota.
Maxine: How could I have raised a child so willful and dumb?!
This was a really REALLY strong episode…I'll have to double check the writers again…next episode is the last and having read the books I can say, I hope this break isn't as long as the last one, because people will be freaking out at how this season ends…TRUST ME!!!

OfflineI had been bored with the whole Sam & his family story but now that he has turned into a jerk, I like him. I don't want to wait for 2 weeks to see how this season ends, I was yelling at my tv last night. Pretty sure my neighbors think I am crazy, well maybe crazier then they thought.
Offline***************** POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT****************************
Sigh, it's almost over and a two week break.
What's a Trubie to do.

As I have all the seasons on both DVD & VHS, those will go into rotation. Possibly re read the series again.

I'll be curious to see how this season ends but I think I have a pretty good idea already.
Here are my high's and low's for the season….
HIGHS
1-Russell & the Werewolves (not like the book but nice all the same)
2-Franklin Mott (whatta psycho!!!)
3-Debbie Pelt screaming "He hurt my Cooter!"
4-Eric and Pam (never disappoint)
5-The Queen finally getting her comeuppance
6-Russell ( I know I've already mentioned him but he is so insane, I thought he deserved mentioning twice)
7-Lorena Krasiki (Bill's maker, always a delight)
LOWS
1-Jesus & Lafayette (this has gotten old, but I think they're twisting the books for the set up to next season, have a feeling
I know what direction this will be taking especially w/the inclusion of Holly and her Wicca stuff.)
2-Sam's Family
3-Jason's High School football nonsense (couldn't care less)
4-Crystal (it took TOO LONG to get to the point)
5-Arlene & Terry (yawn)
6-Didn't like the way they portrayed Hotshot, specifically Calvin Norris.
7-Also didn't care for the way they pussed out Alcide Hevereaux. He was fairly tough in the books
Those are the ones that stick out for me….
I'm not sure how I feel about Tara this season, usually she's so abrasive I can't stand her, but this season she's in a sort of DMZ. All this weepy stuff over Eggs is so out of character for her combined w/her whole Franklin Mott situation. I really felt bad for what she was going through and I thought the scene w/Andy Bellefleur last night was AMAZING! You could FEEL both characters so truly…I have to say that last night's episode was one of the strongest recently. With Eric's and Russell's "fairy intoxication"……just wonderful.

OfflineI have to agree with your highs and lows. I haven't read the books but now I plan to. Holly reminds me an awful lot like Maryann.

If you ARE planning on reading the books, you should be advised that there are a few Sookie Stackhouse short stories as well, only one of which is significant to the overall story as it involves Hadley. It's called "A Touch of Dead" and she recently came out w/another short story that appears in "Death's Excellent Vacation" which is a collection of vacation themed short stories involving the supernatural, it really opened my eyes to some other great writers in the field. My only other recommendation would be to buy one of the box sets as they're cheaper then doing it like I did one at time….I did luck out and get most of them at Target individually in paperback. I think I read somewhere that in the fall there will be a True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse companion that Charlaine Harris is working on currently.
I was telling Monkette that I'm getting a bad vibe off of Holly and she's not too much like the one in the books…so not sure how he'll twist that character up.
Let me know what you think of the books…I've found them to be VERY QUICK reads.

OfflineMemorable quotes from the season finale…Evil is Going On.
Sookie: I feel better protecting myself, now that I know I am basically vampire crack.
Jason: Sometimes the right thing to do is the wrong thing. I know I did the right thing.
Sookie: Stepping around the fact that your word is worth about as much as teats on a turtle
Eric: If you two are done eye-f*%king each other, can we go?
Sookie: I don't want to baby-sit this psycho while you go take a nap.
Alcide: Are you in trouble again?
Sookie: When am I not in trouble?
Russell (to Eric): Just shut the f*%k up and die please.
These are the ones off the top of my head, I'm KNOW there are others, but I'll have to go check it out and I'll get back to y'all on this one.

That fan created Season 4 Intro you posted was really cool, (I think it was patched together primarily from pre-season 3 promos)… I prefer the real intro though, especially the Jace Everett song.
I'm looking forward to Season 4 a lot. I prefer the show to the books — not often I say that! My wife had bought the first nine books before we saw the show, then we've bought the other book(s) and the short story collections, etc. after seeing the first season of the show, (we had to buy the first season on DVD as we didn't have HBO then, but got it added to our package especially for the second season onwards). The books are good, but the show is better.

Actually True Blood features some incredible music. I used to go to this web site that ironically was called "thus spake drake" that used to run down all the songs featured in the various episodes. I created a true blood soundtrack that featured alot of music featured in the episodes, first two seasons were REAL strong that way. Last season, not so much. Perhaps one of these days on here I'll post the set list I created. I used the official soundtrack release as the foundation for what I created, but have to admit, mine is better….lol.

OfflineWell, I just watched the first TWO episodes for this season…i went online and joined the hbogo very nice. **edit**Truth be known, the hbogo didn't work for me but there was a different website called fanfest (or something like that) that DID work and I got to see not only the first episode again BUT also they were running the 2nd episode in the new season as well…♫ heaven…i'm in heaven♫**
There are many differences between the books and the series that make both intriquing on their own. Should be interesting to see where this goes. There were some funny lines most specifically Jason getting licked by one of the Hotshot inbreeds. Season 4 is off to a running start.
Have to say I'm disappointed that the Tommy Mickens plot line has survived the cut, could've lived w/out watching that stupidity anymore. Naturally there was no closure (yet) on the story line involving the high school quarter back on "V" who was about to break all of Jason's records. They got into Sookie's "other ness". Interesting to see Gary Cole for a little bit at the beginning and it looks like Katerine Hellemond (Mona from Who's the Boss) will be joining the cast briefly…

OfflineHere are some Quotes for Season 4 Premiere "She's Not There"
Lafayette: We'll stay for five minutes. 10 if they got dranks.
Eric: Who would you prefer to trust? A politician or a vampire?
Sookie: I have a fairy godmother? Okay, if your job is to look after me, can I just say you suck.
There are a few others but I'm going to have to watch another replay to catch them, specifically there's Eric's whole TV speech for the AVL and Bill's speech at the Caroline Compton's old folk home.
As I got to see the 2nd episode too, there were some funny ones there too.

OfflineFunny lines from Season 4 episode 2 "Smells like dinner"
Jason: Not that I don't appreciate the licking, but i'm more of a band aid man
Sookie: I will never be Eric Northman's puppet
Pam: shame for you then, he pulls good string
Sookie (whilest walking through Fellowship of the Sun protesters outside of Fangtasia) oh shut up & make up a new chant already
Jason (while tied down to a bed watching Chrystal and Felton Norris stripping down) If we're going to make a baby, why's he getting naked?
