Love Layfayette. Now, he's down to three jobs. lol No more dealing V.

He's sort of like jason in a way, helping those close to him in need.

Godric burned real quick, must be an old vampire thing.

Bill burned very slow. Bill's faces, look like he needs to make a bowel movement!

Sam, being a fly on the wall was clever.

Yup, Maryann! She now has most of the people in Bon Temps wacko, and without a clue what they are doing.

Evil!

Looks like a show down next week in town!

Can't wait for next weeks episode.

When Godric sent Eric away, Sookie told him that she would stay with him. Godric told Sookie that it wouldn't be a long wait because of his age, he said he would burn fast. You could see the humanity in him especially after he saw Sookie cry for him.

I wonder if Tara will be able to get Lafayette and her mom to follow Maryann.

Why didn't Andy question Sam about being naked?

Andy had a bottle, it appeared he was in hotel room drinking. I hope Andy has not fallen off the wagon again. He's one of the few who know about Maryann, and not under her power yet. Maybe Andy was too smashed to notice Sam being naked? Or he was getting over a recent binge?

Godric, was just too human feeling to be a vampire anymore. The scenes with Sookie, Bill, and Godric were just touching. The actor who played Godric pulled off being soft spoken while being in total control of the moment was excellent. In the end, Godric's death was so sad.

I can't remember Nan Flanagan having a scene, outside of always being on tv debating the Newlins.

Was sort of surprised she had the power or authority to get Godric's resignation.

She seemed above Godric and Eric, even though Godric took the fall for church of the fellowship mess.

Nan was quite b@tchy and threatening to the vampires, saying she could use her media power to ruin them if she chooses.

I didn't think that made sense, she's the spokes vampire for the AVL, why trash her own kind on tv?

I think it might be a power play on Nan's part. Did you notice her muscle behind her? She might be trying to move her way up through AVL. I wanted to smack the cr@p out of her.

I hope Andy can keep it together long enough to help get rid of Maryann.

She's a Maenad.

A literal translation of the name means raving ones.

Thanks for the actual name. Someone had asked me when I got caught up a bit what I thought she was. I wasn't sure initially but after the second episode of second season (only as far as i've gotten) and Sookie read her mind, I thought that was either Latin or Greek and after what happens around her I immediately thought of the female followers of Dionysius and bacchanals etc. I'm about 20 years removed from studying mythology but that's what sprung to mind.

Hope Andy get's it together. The Maryann stuff is getting really drawn out on the show for me.

By the end of this season, hope it's over. A little tired of the black eyed, naked dancing sex thing. lol

Love the show, though growing tired of Maryann.

These vampires need to kick some a@@ when they get back to Bon Temps in this weeks epi!

Tonight's show was one heck of a ride!

Jason, is just one loveable nut job!

Drunk ot not, Andy got his crap together.

Hmm, Bill ran off to the vampire queen. Bet Eric, comes around Sookie while he' s gone.

Bummer, season two is almost at an end!

Can't wait to hear what you all think.

I love this season, seems a shame that it is almost over.

Jason is the best, crazy as a loon but still has a good heart.

It was great that Sookie helped get to Tara, those two really have a strong bond.

I am still trying to figure out what Sookie did to Maryann. Everything that is going on has me curious as to the mythology that is going on, time to start reading and get a library card.

Sookie is something else, more than a young female waitress telepath.

Something she is not aware of yet.

In the first epi, remember when Bill said "What are you"? She said a waitress, and she can read people's thoughts. Bill gave her a strange look.

I think Eric at one point said the same thing to Sookie.

Lorena, did also. When Lorena bite the telepath bellhop (forget his name) at the vampire hotel, Lorena said his blood tasted different than anything she's tasted before. Don't know if the bellhop is what Sookie is. But, the vampires are noticing something.

Duckie, if you'd like to know pm me. I don't want to spoil the show for anyone.

If I may make a suggestion? Try to locate a copy of Edith Hamilton's Mythology (I think is the title), it's been a standard mythology intro in both high school & to a smaller extent college for years. It covers most of the major god structures in both Roman & Greek lore. It also touches a bit on Norse mythology as well. It's a paperback book which most stores should have and is probably less the $10.

Can I ask a dopey question? I've been watching this season's episodes on "in demand" the last epi I watched was when Bill went to the Queen's lair to see how to dispatch Maryann. Why was that epi only 45 minutes long? Was that the season finale? The rest of the epis were 60 minutes.

Could Sookie be a handmaiden of another god, possibly Apollo,Hestia or Hera? Hestia, is considered the virginal goddess of the hearth and family, which Sookie sort of is and considering she was empowered when defending her home against not one, but two trespassers. Hera, Zeus' wife, was a goddess who could commune w/the dead w/a symbol of the pomegrante (sp?)which represents death and fertility. Because I think only a devotee of powerful god or a lesser god/goddess could have any effect upon a Maenid. In fact, when Hestia grew weary of the gods constant bickering, she left Mt. Olympus and was replaced there by Dionysius and became an Earth-bound diety. No word on whether or not she was a telepath.

Thanks for the tip Monk, I will look for the book. I am always curious to learn new things and not ashamed to admit when I don't know things.

There are still 2 episodes left, I did notice that it was a short epi, don't know the reason unless they didn't want to spoil the next epi.

If you want to know what Sookie is you can pm me or symp, she let me know. It was a surprise to me.

Yeah, both my daughter and I yelled why is it over.

I think so too, Duckie. They didn't want to ruin next weeks epi.

It was as far as they could go, and have a cliif hanger epi ending as usual.

Eric your scaring the kids.

Little tea cup people. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Eris was great in this Epi, again. I love a good smart a@@.

I liked Evan Rachel Wood as the Vampire Queen.

She had that likeable evil thing going on, with some humor thrown in.

Hope season two, doesn't end with Sam in the middle being a sacrifice.

Six months, of is he dead or not. /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

I hope for a better cliff hanger ending, and not the obvious.

Liked this epi, but I thought it was not as well written as most. I long for the what da hell, feeling.

Seemed a litlle drawn out, not a lot of major things happened.

The last two epis, seem to be the lead up to the season two ending.

I've been tired of Maryann since the last three epis.

Sookie's cousin, interesting little tidbit there.

Eric visiting the vampire queen, hmmm

I'd think he'd know about Maenads, he's a 1000 year old vampire.

I got the impression the vampire queen was slightly familar with Sookie.

Wonder if the vampire quuen has something to do with Bill deciding to live in Bon Temps.

Eric's relationship with Sookie also. Maybe the queen is involved. He detests humans, unless he knows what she is.

Eric also shows loyalty to the vampire ways and laws.

I think something is up.

I still haven't seen the season finale for True Blood has it aired? I was under the impression that it was taking a week off??? Or is it still episode 23? The last episode I saw showed Constipated Bill walking into the Queen's compound and there's blood dripping off a foot into a swimming pool. It was the 45 minute episode!

Monkette and I finally finished watching season 1 over the weekend, now she has to get caught up on season 2, I accidently watched all current episodes on in demand thinking she'd done the same. Unfortunately, she's only back on episode 4 or 5. Whoopsie! I'm also going to have to tape season 2 for a co-worker (it would appear).
