The Complete Approach by Barry FitzGerald and Dustin Pari came out early this month. I, of course, had it pre-ordered from Barnes and Noble. That was a mistake. The day the book came out, I got an e-mail saying my book was ready to ship. Later that day, I received another e-mail informing me that they would not be able to ship the book until later. Thinking it would only be a couple of extra days, I went to check. WRONG. They couldn't ship it until September 6! Then I found the book on amazon.com, which I have never had any trouble with, and the book was actually cheaper there, so I canceled my order with Barnes and Noble, and re-ordered the book from amazon. That was a very good decision. I ended up getting the book three days earlier than amazon had said it would be here. My point is, if you want this book, order it from Amazon.

As for the book itself, I have finished reading it. I love this book. It's not a huge book, but at the same time it covers a lot of ground and goes a lot farther in depth than many of the other books I have read on the paranormal. As much as I love the book, I will say that there are two things that should have been fixed. 1. The grammatical errors, and the editor's note which was not removed before printing. And 2. They talk a lot about a "manifestation scale" which is not actually in the book, leaving me to wonder what the scale is. Other than that though, it is a great book, and I highly recommend it to ALL paranormal investigators/researchers, whatever you call yourself. Get yourself a copy. It is only about 10 dollars on amazon, about 14 with shipping. It's well worth it.

And I do have to admit that, yes, I am a GHI fan, but that is not why I love this book. I sincerely learned a lot from it, and actually I was very surprised at how in depth it does get. I am right now in the process of re-reading and taking notes so that I do not forget all the information included in the book.

I learned of Dustin & Barry's book project from Dustin's posting on Facebook. I bought it on Amazon for around $15. Impressions? Sounded like a really cool book. After thumbing through it looked like a bunch of paranormal 101 stuff. BUT...after diving into it, there is definitely a lot of good information in here. There are some references to some very interesting studies and theories that have been looked at over the years that have advanced the field to where it is now. I'd recommend this book for new or old investigators.
