I remember Jay stating that he and Grant had nothing to do with the planning of the Tapscon event.
Very odd the hotel bill for the event is made out to "The Atlantic Paranormal Society". hmmm
The money is gone for refunds imo.
Wonder if Jay and Grant will man up and do the right thing!

OfflineOkay guys. Here's the deal. We have emails to Brent Fair and to Jason Hawes/Grant Wilson. We'd like to hear everyone's side of the story and present it all in an unbiased way. So we won't be expressing opinions – just giving you information as (if) we get it. Maybe if we can get everyone's side of the story, this can all be sorted out. We're not on a witch hunt, we'd just like to let you all hear what all parties have to say and then let you form your own opinions based on that.

Jason's response does clear up the issue regarding a mistake made in one of the documents by the Biltmore, where TAPSCON 1 was held. Please see Karen's blog that includes Jason's response here:

But he put forth an answer that was what I expected it to be. I am satisfied that he came forth with the truth from his and Grant's perspective.

I really think that he was trying to clear up misunderstandings. He told me he would get me information, and he did. I would imagine the press is all over them with this. I think it is a downside of fame (as I mentioned in my blog a few days ago). I appreciate his help in clearing things up. As I said, we're looking for truth here – wherever that leads. I'm still hoping to hear from Brent Fair.

Trying to remain open minded, becomes difficult as some ot the info presented is contradictory.
We have heard from three parties, but not from Mr. Fair himself. May be not to his best interest.
The contract was signed by Mr Fair, as Manager of TFTC ( TapsFamily Taps Con).
All I can say is WHAT???? Maybe I have something stuck in my ear.
Sad thing, no mention of people getting their money back.
Truth of the matter, with out these people who paid first, none of this would be happening.
When people in the public eye lose sight of their fans, they lose credibility in the public eye.
On the same token, many famous people have stepped up and helped people in situations like these.
Whether they were the cause of the situation or not. Then the situation was resolved and was a win win, for the famous and the fan.
I have to wonder how many people out their just want their money back, don't care who is at fault.
Passing fault back and forth, imo just removes the cause but not the symptom.
What about the fans money?

I just can't do it. I can't sit here and try, for the best, to keep an open mind. I know from personal experiences how the "Family" treats people, teams, and clients. This is just another reason their whole monopoly approach is bad bad bad!

* TAPScam – by a taps family member, and key player
* Look at all the complaints that have come in about other taps family teams, and look how they're not doing anything about it.
Do you know that the hierarchy refuses to take a complaint against a TAPS family team, from another team, because they automatically assume it's "jealousy"…WTF?
It's not jealousy if you have tangible evidence of their ineptitude.

Lisa Abney at Haunted South Paranormal Research (HSPR) is working on trying to help people get their money back. She has been at the forefront of calling for transparency and integrity in practice from Brent Fair, and her efforts are appreciated.
Yeah – I am bummed to not have heard from Brent Fair – I really would like the opportunity to ask him a few questions.
