we live about 1 1/2 hrs from cooperstown. if hubby and i were to attend:

stay at the hotel it's $200/nite dbl…3 nites…$600 (that's the discounted rate and they WILL be checking their rosters to make sure no scumbags are trying to pull something by trying to get that rate but not be registered for the TAPS event.)

2 tickets to 'the show' …$650

ONE meal is included on saturday nite…

you get 2 nites investigation of the Otesaga Hotel and the Farmer's Museum. coupla meet/greet drinky times, lectures, etc. they even have a STAND UP COMEDIAN!!

oh yeah. i have $1500 or so just lying around for something like this…lets see: sofa cushions hiding 12 cents and a glow in the dark dinosaur of my grandson's…WHOA! so THAT'S where that cat has been……….

i am seriously thinking of giving up art and just practicing saying 'did you hear that??' and 'what the fetch' etc.

the money seems to be a whole lot better and the stress a lot less. but at least grant is going to be there!!!!!!! :-)

best,

annie

Wow, $650 for 2 tickets? I'm stunned. How can people afford that these days? Wow!

Annie, instead of giving our money to them at Christmas we're having a party at my house /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Instead of Cooperstown we should all crash at your place heehee.

hey, heidi, works for me. there's Fort Hill cemetary in auburn to investigate. built on an old indian mount. the seward house….some neat stuff here in the fingerlakes. just bring pillows for the pillow fight and tequila for the marguaritas…i'll provide the food. and i'm already packing to crash the party at your place!/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I would love to see Paranormal State and Ghost Adventures do an in depth investigation of the TAPS HQ in Warwick to see if the can find a ghost of any intergrity at all!

Wow, that's just excessive money. They just aren't even pretending anymore, lol.

I am clearly in the wrong business…

Using their handy dandy new metal detectors, maybe they can find a trace of irony perhaps
