Gee, if I wanted to clear my name, instead of offering bogus challenges to GAC, i would simply take my parabot to numerous locations and capture all the evidence that I can and use it to clear my name. Does he really need to use the GAC to go to a location to "capture" a spirit? Ummm, do it on your own, and maybe if your "evidence" is valid or you do indeed "capture" something, then you may be eligible for your own paranormal TV special....i guess his 15 minutes ran up and he is trying to get a renewal....

Well motivation is easy to come up with. To keep his name in the news, to keep himself relevant and to make it look like he didn't toss that meter. He knows GAC will never take him up on it, so in his mind that clears his name.

I have to say - I believe it was a misstep by TC/GA to have him on the show in the first place.

Bess. What a joke. He might be an olympic gold medal meter tosser, but he is just plain delusional if he thinks that the GA crew is going to fall for this. I listened for the past several years as Bess made extravagant claims about his devices and research on various podcasts, always waiting for him to pony up and prove it. He was supposed to be a guest on the Queen Mary for the PSIence fair conference, even to a live "containment", but that never materialized (pardon the pun).

At any rate, his antics during the live GA event at TLA should have relegated him to shameful obscurity. I thought the GA crew handled the situation tactfully, they could have (and imho should have) been a lot more hard on him. I cannot imagine what motivation would make them even consider this, legal issues notwithstanding.

Bess just needs to take his plexiglass neon phonebooth and go quietly into the good night where he can practice his guassmaster throw.

The Travel Channel for that reason won't allow the GA crew to do it as long as they are under contract.

It does seem a bit silly to me but Bess is just trying to get back on the media scene again. I'm surprised he is still trying after he was caught throwing that EMF detector last October.

This challenge seems a bit silly. Why would he put this condition in his challenge?

"If I win - meaning, if I deliver real proof of paranormal existence in the location of their choice right then and there as it happens - I request that they cancel the next season and tell the public exactly why."
