Haven't any of these brain trusts ever used a broom? Or leaned a shovel against a wall? This kind of thing happens all the time. It's like all the investigation footage I see of opening doors after a crew walks by.

The floor flexes and sets a number of things into motion, slightly buckling door frames causes a door to swing open. Something leaned against a wall suddenly falls over. Creaks and pops as the floor boards settle back into place.

I honestly think a rudimentary knowledge of construction, building systems and simple cause and effect should be required for anyone wanting to be a hunter, investigator, researcher or whatever.
