The new series premiered tonight, what did everyone think? I see there is a thread on here from earlier in the year when the producers were asking for people to come forward with their stories so hopefully other forum users were looking out for this show as a result. In that thread I stated that the show sounded like 'My Ghost Story' on Bio, but if the premiere is anything to go by, it will be very, very different in the way they present their stories. (Of course they aren't limited to just ghost stories either on this show, and cover a much wider variety of unexplained phenomena, next weeks episode appears to be about UFOs.)

I thought the tone was much darker than other paranormal reality shows, with a lot more emotion shown by the interviewees than other shows of the ilk. The two stories chosen for the premiere were both presented in a terrifying way, I don't think I've ever seen such a show present their stories in such a way before, (granted there were obvious fabrications such as blood running down the walls and windows in the first story, but ignoring that and concentrating on the witness accounts still made for scary viewing). The second story especially, (about the girl on the side of the road), was creepy to the extreme and has stuck with me in the hours since I saw the show. I'm sure that was the producers intention, so bravo!

I'll be watching this show regularly I think. It certainly looks like this show is going to push the envelope from what we are used to seeing.

I'm sure it'll be repeated over the week on Syfy if anyone missed it who might be interested.

Based on the premiere tonight alone, I'd definitely recommend this show.

Hi Drake … I watched and liked this show. It reminded me of A Haunting. Dramatic, dark and chilling. I liked the personal "real" interviews mixed in with the recreations of reported events. I also was a bit freaked by the cases they profiled. Extreme.

We did recommend to the producers (who asked us) a few cases that we knew about. I know for sure that one case we recommended was filmed and should be on the show at some point.

i watched it and really liked it. The second story would have had more impact if they hadn't told us what was coming in the title of the story. IMO it would have been better to call it "The girl by the side of the road" and save the shocker, but that's just my opinion.

I didn't like the 2nd episode as much overall, although the first story (about the missing mother and child) was quite heart wrenching. The 2nd story about the police helicopter and the UFO wasn't very appealing and too drawn out – with very dodgy special effects too that detracted from taking the story seriously. The preview for the third episode this week looks more of a return to form though.

Two episodes in and three out of the four stories have been entertaining and well done, so I'll still be sure to watch.

I really liked the story about the missing mother and child. I'll definitely keep watching if the show stays this entertaining.

Yes, it really reminds me of A Haunting and I really enjoyed that show. Paranormal Witness has the same edginess that A Haunting had when it was on. It made me want to turn on the lights after watching the second episode. I missed the first episode going to have to catch it on SyFy channel when it comes on again. The missing mother and child was interesting to watch but the UFO chase not so much.

The other show I really likes was MonsterQuest. I wish History Channel had not cancelled it. Maybe there will be another show like it in the future.

Syfy may not have wanted to commit to a full season, so they made a short season to see if the show would garner enough interest to make it worth renewing?

I can't complain about that….

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

Some of the decisions they have made over the years (cancelling popular shows, supporting activity on their shows which is questionable [I'm looking at you Ghosthunters!],and a name change to call out just three) would lend credence to a case to having some of the decision makers at Slyfy committed.
