I'll agree that Josh makes any episode of GH he hosts or guest investigates with bearable. DT is the king though. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Josh was great as the host and made the show, but all they did was stretch out a standard investigation to mark the celebration of a hundred episodes.

So, the big announcment was season two of GHA? I can hardly contain my excitment.

I'm really looking forward to the premier of Destination Truth in a couple of weeks though.

Personally I still can't believe that there are people out there that think that GH is real? However, I do understand the fan thing and not wanting those they are fans of to be shown in less than a positive light. No one wants their heroes slandered whether justified or not but so too there are those who are just as tired of being told that everything TAPS finds is real. Maybe it is and maybe it isn't. For me I just don't see it.

That aside and since Eastern State was mentioned…. Eastern State has been used for many things and as a tourist attraction for a long time. It was quite well known locally for its Halloween events. As far as the TAPS shadow entity that runs at the camera. Anyone with a TIVO, or DVD of that episode can see that it is a person under a black cloth. You can see their legs & sneakers and how they turn away from the camera. In fact it is the same person who posed as the thief in NYC who took their case and ran away with it, only to drop it because Steve chased him? A little out of character for NYC if you ask me. However, I apologize to anyone who thinks any of that was real.

The coat tug incident is a whole other story. lol Their mistake there was continuing to do it. If they would have let it alone after once or twice maybe it would have been questionable but to keep it going for so long made it lose its credibility.

Now, I am sorry to the fans. I understand they are tired of people calling TAPS into question all the time but that is the price you pay for presenting yourself as the standard and what you present as real. That is the whole idea behind what we all supposedly do. To get what we think is paranormal and put it out there for scrutiny. No matter who you are, there will be those who tear what you have apart.

I also noticed someone asking if anyone had proof TAPS faking things. Well, the camera doesn't lie. It just shows what is there without prejudice and then the individual interprets it. So you will always get two sides and neither has proven their claims.

There is truth to this whole debate though. That is that TAPS is a great success. Like them or hate them they get people talking. As long as people are talking they will be one the air. Like they say in show biz, "It doesn't matter whether people are talking good or bad about you. As long as they are talking."

I'll have to agree on that one…I thought about making a new post, but decided against it on the predictions of what the "big" announcement would be, I did not want to waste other peoples's time on the subject….

I think the announcement will be something geared towards the new season of GHA, I can't imagine a new spin-off that has been kept under wraps this long without someone spilling the beans… /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Hey good call Gene, you seem to have nailed that on the head…more GHA, I don't know how to contain my excitement… /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I recorded it last night and watched about 30 seconds. Re-runs of NCIS were on so I watched those instead.

Do I keep and watch it or just hit the delete button?

I did catch enough to see the Stroud part. Feathers???? LMAO Those guys are a hoot. Stroud never had any birds at Alcatraz. To my knowledge he also got out of prison at about 78 years old so why would his spirit go back there. I laugh at the same thing when people talk about Capone's spirit being in prisons. He didn't die in prison either so why go back there?

Kinda glad I fell asleep. Sorry I missed the rest of Josh's quips though…

To their credit, they did make a comment that Stroud was not able to have birds at Alcatraz. The feather was all part of the show trying to get a reaction.

I also doubt that Stroud's spirit would be at Alcatraz since he didn't die there. I can't imagine any of these criminals passing away and their spirits rushing back to prision haha!

Has anyone here on the forum actually investigated Alcatraz?

Monkette and I have done the night tour of Alcatraz and have some pictures we took there. When you go there at night alot of the island is off limits because of the extreme disrepair of being subjected to the harsh elements. The main building and the cell blocks are open. If you get a chance to get out to the bay area, I highly recommend the tour of Alcatraz, but wear very comfortable shoes, there's an extremely steep incline one must walk to enter the main building.

Now onto their investigation of "The Rock". When Monkette and I were there we had no idea that snozberry was in season and on the menu in the kitchen! Had we only known, I've no doubt we'd have ordered a short stack each. A convenient omission was how well sound carries over the water from the Wharf especially in the summer when alot of the places offer outdoor seating for the restaurants and bars. Aside from Josh and the snozberry, the show was a bore, much like their episodes have been lately…

I was switching back and forth watching something else, basketball actually. I saw parts and missed most of the questions that were asked. Did they actually answer any hard hitting questions or was it screened questions like "What was your favorite place to investigate?". The one EVP involving a prisoner supposedly named Brunette and his prison number was interesting, was that solid or just a stretch by the GH crew? /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

"They insisted that the victim animals simply had died of dog bites from dogs or other animals. They suggested that disease might have been responsible for one animal's death. They denied that the victims had been exsanguinated, as many witnesses had claimed, and even suggested that the puncture wounds reported might be from barbed wire. Callers reminded them that some wounds were deep enough to reach into the victims' lungs, that the flesh was not torn as in dog bites, that signs of struggles were inexplicably missing, and that corpses did not decay normally, but their arguments were brushed aside. Also brushed aside were callers' attempts to bring extraterrestrials into the conversation.

When the recording ended. I rewound it and played it again and again. I still could not believe what I was hearing. The callers had the skeptics pinned against the ropes from the very first call." - Scott Corrales

I didn't see the whole thing – just part of it. Loved Josh Gates – as always, very amusing. I'm starting to feel as if the Tango/Steve schtick is wearing a bit thin – but I suppose you go with what works. Also – there was a lot of whispering during investigation. Isn't that one of the rules of investigation? Don't whisper because it can come across on later recordings as an EVP?
