What did everyone think of the "shadow" figure photo they caught at the tombstone cemetery?

First thought was it looked like a cut-out of a cowboy. Kind of like those leaning cowboy silhouettes you see in people's gardens. Second thought was, with all of this expensive "lab" equipment they have, how come they didn't do any computer analysis of the picture? They didn't even do a simple gray-scale test.

Now that "Right Quick" EVP? NO way am I believing that.

Otherwise I enjoyed it. I didn't expect much so there wasn't any real disappointment. I'm still upset at my cable company for me missing the Myrtles Plantation episode but I'll catch it as a re-run.

I was impressed with a couple of the EVPs caught during their first show.

Frankly, I didn't buy it. Maybe if it were a bit clearer, I wouldn't be so skeptical.

I am afraid the shadow figure left me empty. My initial reaction was, "Ooooo maybe they got something!" But they hurried through that too fast also. All the audience got to see was two stick figure type legs that could have been anything.

I mean, they blew up the supposed ghost behind the cowboy and talked about that for 10 minutes. Why not the shadow person too? Not enough emphsis on the shadow person which, if real, would be the best peice of evidence they got.

So, for me the lack of emphisis on the best piece of supposed evidence leads me to believe they too didn't really think it held much credibility. Now on to next week and don't forget Extreme Paranormal.

I like it. I love shadow figures due to their rarity in pictures. I have to say good catch on that one!

I too feel let down, as the hype for this show being a strictly scientific based show was so thick, I guess I was expecting more. This average-joe (or plumber) by day, paranormal researcher by night theme is getting old. I would like to see real-world nuts-and-bolts stuff, not just emulation of the most common and popular style out there. Another put-off is watching Brad brag about being a professional paranormal investigator, when he seems to be the one that consistently loses his composure. Barry, on the other had, seems to have a more mature approach and that is not lost on me.

It is hard to measure shows like this, as they all seem to be variations on a very specific theme. But as far as the theme goes, it is hard to beat ghost adventures or destination truth. As you can probably guess, lol, Ghostlab still has a series record slot on my dvr for the time being. Here's hoping they are just getting warmed up!

One problem for me is that they made claims like they were going to rock the paranromal community and have done nothing but ghost hunt like the kids in The Outsiders. It is more of a disappointment for me than actually bad. I don't see them doing anything the rest aren't doing. Some of the things they do and say isn't even worthy of comment and they might want to do a little research before making some claims. I haven't heard one class 'A' EVP on the show yet, regardless of what they claim. Maybe they should study some Raudive and Estep before they put stuff out there for the masses?

I don't hate the show nor will I bash them. I am just disappointed. The hype lead me to believe they really were going to do some real investigating. Seems just like any other show to me. A waste of a lot of good expensive equipment in my opinion too. The potential is there but they look more like they are playing instead of doing any real work. However, it could appear that way because of editing I guess.

Oh, and ERA Cues... A very old concept that they seem to be trying to make their own. That put me off too.

I feel like the minority here but I kind of liked it. There was nothing ground breaking by any means but it was interesting enough. They did some things different than GH. They didn't use the FLIR so far for one thing. They had some pretty interesting EVP's. They also properly called a discernible voice a VP not an EVP. I liked when they established a baseline reading with the EMF detector. I don't recall seeing any KII's yet either.

Well, that makes it a minority of two. I liked it too.

I only wish they did not make that prideful boast at the end of the show. /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Add me to the list of fans for this show. I loved it! Loved their setup, how they investigated, and their use of Era Cues.

I enjoyed their team and how they tried to recreate certain findings, especially how they showed the comparison of the "genuine" EVP to the human recording.

Overall . . . I like the show so far. Not as overwrought as Most Haunted or Ghost Adventures . . . which is a plus.

Looking forward to see what else they do and find.

I only wish they did not make that prideful boast at the end of the show.

I agree with that statement. To me, one "Aw crap", can negate all the "Atta Boy's" they may have acquired throughout the show. A boast can often times come off as arrogance rather than confidence.
