I'm pissed. Our DVR has been on the fritz and it shows that it's recording but it's not. We lost both NCIS, Dirty Jobs and Ghost Lab. I was really wanting to see the Myrtles part.

Regardless of my previous comments about GL, I'll absolutely watch it again. If you can catch the replay, I recommend it. I'm sure you would have some opinions about it.

I agree 100%. I will watch several times unless it gets ridiculous.

I feel I have to watch to have an opinion but I must watch repeatedly to have an educated opinion.

I feel like the minority here but I kind of liked it. There was nothing ground breaking by any means but it was interesting enough. They did some things different than GH. They didn't use the FLIR so far for one thing. They had some pretty interesting EVP's. They also properly called a discernible voice a VP not an EVP. I liked when they established a baseline reading with the EMF detector. I don't recall seeing any KII's yet either.

"They insisted that the victim animals simply had died of dog bites from dogs or other animals. They suggested that disease might have been responsible for one animal's death. They denied that the victims had been exsanguinated, as many witnesses had claimed, and even suggested that the puncture wounds reported might be from barbed wire. Callers reminded them that some wounds were deep enough to reach into the victims' lungs, that the flesh was not torn as in dog bites, that signs of struggles were inexplicably missing, and that corpses did not decay normally, but their arguments were brushed aside. Also brushed aside were callers' attempts to bring extraterrestrials into the conversation.

When the recording ended. I rewound it and played it again and again. I still could not believe what I was hearing. The callers had the skeptics pinned against the ropes from the very first call." - Scott Corrales

Well I'm glad I didn't miss anything special when the storm knocked out the TV.

Well, that makes it a minority of two. I liked it too.

I only wish they did not make that prideful boast at the end of the show. /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I agree with that statement. To me, one "Aw crap", can negate all the "Atta Boy's" they may have acquired throughout the show. A boast can often times come off as arrogance rather than confidence.

I liked the show. I really liked the Gettysburg footage one of the brothers shot back in the 1990s. Using the Singapore Theory or "era cues" . . . nice touch. Like to see more debunking . . . maybe later on.

Overall . . . I like the show so far. Not as overwrought as Most Haunted or Ghost Adventures . . . which is a plus.

Looking forward to see what else they do and find.

Well, it's on again at 10 Eastern tonight. I have to give it another look to have an educated opinion on whether or not they are for real or not.

Speaker going crazy: Electronic interference from their equipment perhaps?

Add me to the list of fans for this show. I loved it! Loved their setup, how they investigated, and their use of Era Cues.

I enjoyed their team and how they tried to recreate certain findings, especially how they showed the comparison of the "genuine" EVP to the human recording.

I wouldn't say they stink. I think if they had said they were a bunch of guys with a lot of nice expensive equipment and were going ghost huntung like everyone else. Then there probably wouldn't have been much talk.

One problem for me is that they made claims like they were going to rock the paranromal community and have done nothing but ghost hunt like the kids in The Outsiders. It is more of a disappointment for me than actually bad. I don't see them doing anything the rest aren't doing. Some of the things they do and say isn't even worthy of comment and they might want to do a little research before making some claims. I haven't heard one class 'A' EVP on the show yet, regardless of what they claim. Maybe they should study some Raudive and Estep before they put stuff out there for the masses?

I don't hate the show nor will I bash them. I am just disappointed. The hype lead me to believe they really were going to do some real investigating. Seems just like any other show to me. A waste of a lot of good expensive equipment in my opinion too. The potential is there but they look more like they are playing instead of doing any real work. However, it could appear that way because of editing I guess.

Oh, and ERA Cues… A very old concept that they seem to be trying to make their own. That put me off too.

What did everyone think of the "shadow" figure photo they caught at the tombstone cemetery?

I agree with your comments GB. Last night's show didn't do very much to impress me either. They are hurrying through things too much to maintain validity. Their self-proclaimed class A's are pretty rough, and the pace of their investigations is akin to an investigative bull in a supposedly haunted china shop. The speaker thing also puts me in the mind of inductive coupling or resonance, just has to have a strong RF field in it's proximity. The hurried pace might be a byproduct of editing, it is hard to say. Their fancy equipment seems to be more for presentation value, not so much for better data collection. I personally would like to see them using some DC emf meters, some hi-def digital multitracks, and perhaps experiment with new evp ideas such as REVP from digital dowsing or the Tennessee Spirit mike.

I too feel let down, as the hype for this show being a strictly scientific based show was so thick, I guess I was expecting more. This average-joe (or plumber) by day, paranormal researcher by night theme is getting old. I would like to see real-world nuts-and-bolts stuff, not just emulation of the most common and popular style out there. Another put-off is watching Brad brag about being a professional paranormal investigator, when he seems to be the one that consistently loses his composure. Barry, on the other had, seems to have a more mature approach and that is not lost on me.

It is hard to measure shows like this, as they all seem to be variations on a very specific theme. But as far as the theme goes, it is hard to beat ghost adventures or destination truth. As you can probably guess, lol, Ghostlab still has a series record slot on my dvr for the time being. Here's hoping they are just getting warmed up!

I like it. I love shadow figures due to their rarity in pictures. I have to say good catch on that one!

What did everyone think of the "shadow" figure photo they caught at the tombstone cemetery?

I am afraid the shadow figure left me empty. My initial reaction was, "Ooooo maybe they got something!" But they hurried through that too fast also. All the audience got to see was two stick figure type legs that could have been anything.

I mean, they blew up the supposed ghost behind the cowboy and talked about that for 10 minutes. Why not the shadow person too? Not enough emphsis on the shadow person which, if real, would be the best peice of evidence they got.

So, for me the lack of emphisis on the best piece of supposed evidence leads me to believe they too didn't really think it held much credibility. Now on to next week and don't forget Extreme Paranormal.

Frankly, I didn't buy it. Maybe if it were a bit clearer, I wouldn't be so skeptical.

Now that "Right Quick" EVP? NO way am I believing that.

Well, I was hoping they would go back at night to try and recreate the shadow figure photo, to eliminate possible shadows or any type of possible matrixing.

I was impressed with a couple of the EVPs caught during their first show.

When I first started buying equipment for my team, I was on a very low budget. When I started looking at EMF detectors I found the cheapest one on the market. I ended up getting the Cell Sensor because of monetary funds. Granted I like having the sensor on a cord so it's away from the meter but when I watch Ghost Lab with their expensive trailer and expensive setups and expensive equipment, I would expect more when they use cheap equipment that I have.

Otherwise I enjoyed it. I didn't expect much so there wasn't any real disappointment. I'm still upset at my cable company for me missing the Myrtles Plantation episode but I'll catch it as a re-run.
