As far as Beast Hunter, I hope it gets picked up. With the demise of Monsterquest and Beast Legends, the Cryptid pickings are getting mighty slim.

So far the one Beast Hunter was OK, like GhostBreaker said it was somewhat slow but at least was not dramatized for TV too much. I do miss Monsterquest, although some of the episodes were goofy, didn't care for Beast Legends though. This Friday Pat is in the Congo looking for evidence of the Mokele Mbembe so we will see how this one goes provided I don't forget and end up watching hoops instead. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I actually liked the show, but it is a much slower paced and more analytical format. That being said, I had numerous issues with their "ghost hunt" on episode 2. I thought the first epi. on Bigfoot was quite good.

True, the show was slow. I did however like their one ghost hunting show at Eastern State.

I especially liked how they showed that people can't hear the low decibels but can feel the effects when trying to explain some peoples feelings in certain places. Also how a ghost would have to be made of neutrinos in order to pass through walls etc.

Although slow I thought is was informative.

Nat Geo tends to like their shows in that manner....Ever see their short lived paranormal series....American Paranormal I believe?

Actually American Paranormal was a great show. It was true to using science to show the possibilities of what supposed hauntings could be. Too bad that was taken off and replaced with something like this. At least American Paranormal was a breath of fresh air. However, it didn't have the spooky factor and was more intellectual and not geared for entertainment like the others.

Not sure if anyone else is interested in this stuff (cryptozoology based) but I caught my first episode and it was pretty interesting. The main dude is Pat Spain (his great uncle is Charles Fort) and from what I could tell it was him his audio and camera guys. The premise is similar to Destination Truth but without all of the embellishments of DT that try to make it more for entertainment purposes than actual science.

He searches the globe for proof of the existence of some of the more prominent cryptids. It would bore a lot of people but if you enjoy cryptozoology you would probably like it. It is like a serious version of DT. From the schedule it looks to be all about cryptids and no paranormal investigations, which should be left to professionals like Jay and Grant. /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rolleyes:' />

I too watched but was greatly disappointed. I found it to be slow moving and boring. I just saw the same old cryptid investigations as all the other shows but no new information. I will give it the benefit of the doubt and try and catch another show. However, if they don't add something new it really isn't worth the effort in my opinion.
