OfflineNote to Admin: If a verifiable past ‘client’ of GH/TAPS were to post on here about their experience would the posts be pulled?
I can answer this. I did a full interview with a homeowner featured on a GH show. They originally showed up over at SyFy and their posts were quickly deleted, so I made contact with the homeowners. I printed their story in my blog on this site, and also obtained commentary from Mr. Hawes – who didn't seem upset in the slightest the homeowner was talking about their (negative) experience on the show.
I believe it is up to the homeowner to know what they signed. I did ask this particular homeowner about an NDA and the ramifications of it for him before I posted the blog, and he wanted his story out there. It isn't up to us to deal with the legalities for homeowners or investigators. I feel as long as we strive for balance – that is, talking with all parties and examining an issue from all sides, it's perfectly okay. As for our members' opinions – those are up to you. As far as I know, no website has ever been held legally liable for its members' posted opinions. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Also – we've occasionally had former members of GH/GHI come on our forums because they had something they felt they needed to share, including Donna LaCroix in wake of her Ghost Divas interview. Again, we do work to protect people by assuring they are who they say they are. So when someone came on claiming they were Donna, I had her call me so we could make sure it was really her and not someone pretending to be. But people can have their say if they wish to do so.

Can you imagine if we were held liable for our opinions. Boy, I think we would all be in trouble.
I think it is a good idea that people have a place like this where they can come and express their feelings whether positive or negative towards any subject. So far except for one, I have only seen mature debate on this site even between those of strong convictions.
I think any person with true first hand knowledge or experience of any of the TV shows would make for a great discussion thread.

thanks for answering…Was wondering since I know that posts there were routinly taken down, even with 'most' of the leeway…
Being a frequent criticizer of the boys over at GH/TAPS for what I think is some of the ‘gone Hollywood’ tactics of theirs, I hope by now most people know its my opinion(s)…at least I never got thrown out the door over there… /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> was warned once….
