Originally coined about religion but fits quite well for the paranroaml also.

Lets not forget that the paranromal encompasses many areas and not just ghost.

i am an agnostic. i have studied the bible and religion for years. for a number of reasons, i no longer share in the faith i once did. yet i believe in spirits due to experiences i myself have had.

A good reason to take such courses without feeling of being succumbed to a cult is that Every Great Historian and archeologist keeps a few sets of Bibles on their shelves. Use it as a scientific tool if thats what it takes.

Well theres alot more to that fable but if you would just grab a few books pertaining to those things and just used them solely as a possible reference, it will indeed make sense with out you needing to convert your ideology. They are just books with words in them. Its only what you make of them.

That God person according to that book didn't take much squat from anyone. This was a guy that commanded Legions of flying creatures known as Angels who were extremely violent in nature.

Evil is the path created by one of those Angels who just felt he was too good to hang out with those other flying things. Somewhere along the lines he didn't like the idea that you and I existed as well. So when this flying thing got his butt un-assed from his position but left alive. Well theres alot more to that fable but if you would just grab a few books pertaining to those things and just used them solely as a possible reference, it will indeed make sense with out you needing to convert your ideology. The very fact that you are doing this is considered hodge podge by main stream science.

God, religion, spirits for what ever that word means, is impossible. Ghosts? show me proof. Dont show me some smudge on a photo, not some noise a mouse could make.

I am an open minded kinda guy.

Show me scientific evidence that some professor can pull apart and tell me what it is made of. Lets forget that I ever mentioned religion or theology. Lets forget one of the post contains Evil in it. We from now on can call this word just BAD.

How could theology answer questions in the paranormal field? I lean towards the thinking of the paranormal may be some type of energy, but what do I know.

It's just a thought I have, nothing factual. For me, religion just confuses the paranormal more, or may promote it.

I think the paranormal is possible, but I want to remain open minded as it could be anything. Maybe not an afterlife so to speak.

I'm looking for the facts and not a hodge podge of many belief systems.

i'm quite certain that many of us here are familiar with the bible, theology etc.

I've been thinking about this the last couple of days and trying to determine whether or not I contradicted myself. I believe that there is some type of "higher power" as it were. However, what I have a hard time believing is that a "higher power" would intentionally create someone as evil as Hitler or a serial killer. Then, that might suggest that there is no higher power - I'm not quite sure how to reconcile the two within my own beliefs. In regards to the being wired differently: If I get some time over the weekend, I'll see if I can find the article/book I was thinking of.

Of course that is only if you believe the "Higher Power" as defined by tbe Judeo/Christian religion. 90% of the rest of the world does not believe in this religion. People are what they are. Whether one believes in a God that set things in motion and lets them take their course or you believe in an "All Controlling" God is your decision. It has NOTHING to do with Nazi Germany. It Happened. And Your "All Controlling" God let this happen. You have to reconcile this. Not me. I do not believe in an "All Controlling" God. My "God" did not "Let" this happen. The spirit I believe in has set the wheels in motion and the beings on the Earth must make their own way. We have failed in many respects. But we have triumphed as well.

Will we triumph? We may. But recent happenings say otherwise. It is my belief that those of you who are "waiting" for your "Almighty God" to send a message are the very people who are preventing solutions to our very present problems. "GOD" is not going to solve our problems. WE are going to solve our problems. The Almighty SPIRIT has endowed us with the ability to withstand evil, danger, adversity, tragedy, grief....

You ask why the Almighty Spirit has "allowed" evil. Well, in my belief, the Almighty gave us everything. Some people say that there is so much EVIL in history. But then...there has been so much WONDER and knowledge and great joy - so much art and music and....

Hitler was F**king evil. But unfortunately, he was only one of many before him.

But Hitler was only one. We survive. We will survive beyond him. Isn't that a triumph in itself?
