so I am currently watching the first show. I decided I was going to have a totally open mind while watching it and form my own opinions.

Holy Cats.

On a positive note I like how they rule out things like one of the big heat signatures being a hot water heater and how the Clown cookie jar is not possessed, its their own body heat reflecting off the shiny surface.

And that's where the positivity ends, so far.

I just got to where they found the gun under the house. Thus far I have seen bad acting and, I think, planted evidence. Yes I think the gun was planted for the same reason everyone else does. Whats with the mud caked on it and not on the box it was in?

Im going to keep watching and hope it gets better.

Wait a minute. That's it? They find a gun under the house and assume that is what's causing the problems? Did they even take an EMF reading of the thing? Have mercy. /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Well since I have yet to see any compelling evidence that an object is and/or can be 'possesed' or 'haunted' … Every case I've seen and read/looked at is where the person got themselves PSYCHED OUT … even when the evidence has been clear and honest that it was normal – mudane 'cause/effect' ….

Yes sometimes it is best just to remove the object .. I totally understand and accept this answer. But .. if the person who removed the object did it by feeding the persons fears and such, that person has ZERO integrity, period. Did they take the time to actually investigate with credibility and such …? Just because they said they did, ..> Can they back it up with verifiable proof?

We had one house that we 'set up' to prove this local Psychic was a fraud. A first year Paranormal Investigator would have known to 'look' and 'check' .. this idiot walked through the house and was giving us all sorts of 'readings' and 'feelings' and 'experiences' --> Based on the 'canned' – 'mechinical' and rigged 'paranormal' sights and sounds. He was convienced he experienced the 'real ghosts' and such of the home….until …. the 'reveal' was done … He was, how shall I … pi … ed and threatened legal action against us. EXCEPT that one of our team members is/was a lawyer and the agreement he signed was 'tight'. (oops, he didn't even bother to read the agreement.)

Anyways .. I think you get the point.

So what kind of group do you belong to? Just curious.

A paranormal invesstigation team in Washington – that consist of a doctor (MD) a doctor – Psychology PhD – Lawyer – Plumber and Home Inspection Agent and a chief radio engineer with a local radio station.

Got to know all these people because they are clients of mine (except the radio engineer – he is my brother-in-law) from 30 years ago to 20 years ago.

I approached them because of their fields. They are not blanket debunkers, but yes skeptical … but we've had a limited few investigations that left us going, "Huh?" … but we cannot say, "Yes" or "No" .. just "huh?"

We get our investigation with and from their clients … and mine.

No we do not have a name – because of their fields we are well .. 'quiet'. But you will not find a better group of people with integrity and honesty.

IF and when we get his real and valid – verifiable proof … we will not be afraid to "call it" -> Paranormal. But with this field of expertise .. we have a good round based knowledge base for which to draw upon.

Wow, sounds like a good make-up for your group. I hope that someday someone, somewhere, is able to find verifiable proof of life after death, UFOs, Bigfoot, etc.

Well, again this group is not blanket "non-believers" .. but they are level headed and like me they know the difference between Objective and Subjective – Emotions -vs- Evidence, Experiences -vs- Understanding of the experience. Facts -vs- .. well I think you get the point.

In some of our investigations – we were left with -> "HUH?" because all logical and rational were proven to not be there, so that left us with … "Paranormal?" But we ask the question … some we were allowed to come back and do follow-up, but the "HUH?" did not return or repeat.

Some of our more serious investigations, it was understood that we would need to be there for a week (7 Days) based on the "hit – miss" of the timing of the claim(s). We would have cameras on location running 24/7 with check in's on "ON CALL".

One of the things we do not 'subscribe' to is nigh only investigations. Only if the claim/reports are at night. If they are during the day – AM or PM .. then we make it clear, we have to be there during these times, if they want answers.

Case in point – More then one claim/reports was always in the LATE moring or Early Afternoon or Early Evening. We found that in ALL those cases it was due to TEMP changes in the house or when other natural cause/effects were at play. They would not happen in the night – late night -> because the direct "cause/effect" had well … moved on.

I have a lot of respect for this team .. because again, they are not blanket debunkers PERIOD … if the evidence / proof is there and validated .. they will accept and respect it.

The most recent episode (second half) left me a bit perturbed. He didn't actually take anything out of the home and he told the young man that it wasn't any object, or the house itself. Instead he said it was the guy himself which understandably freaked the guy out. He really didn't give any guidance except "move out and see if it follows you". He didn't even advise a house cleansing or blessing /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> It was messed up because he scares this guy with some video of something hovering over his bed and then says, oh it's you, thanks for the footage- have a nice life. At least he didn't take a token of his appreciation just for the heck of it to add to his museum inventory.
