saw a commercial for the upcoming GH show…Jason's daughter will join them on an investigation. Up next week Jasons fifth cousin Luther will be joining them in an investigation of an abandoned ice cream factory. The word is that the investigation sent chills up everyones spines causing brain freeze.

Yeah, I saw an advanced screening of the one with J's daughter. They are investigating an abandoned school house where there's a spectral spelling bee that goes down. The highlight is when the ghostly school marm asks Jason's daughter in an EVP session if she can spell "nepotism"

Well then there would be TWO parties stealing money in that particular scenario no?

What ever do you mean?…LOL

I watched that show a little last night and it put me right to sleep. But here are some observations I made….

The technical issues they were having are just not cool for any broadcast, let alone a "live" feed. The echoing they were getting from all the various microphones and such was very distracting. They were in service tunnels under the buildings (I guess), tunnels will echo, especially when they are tiled AND there's a few inches of water on the ground.

I don't know who the cameraman was filming Jay, Grant and Jay's daughter, but he must've liked that booty on her because he couldn't seem to get a shot of her without her kiester being featured prominently. Have to tell you the way Jay talked to her was a little unnerving "STAY there", "STAY here" etc….I dunno dude she's a person not a possession or dog and I know that in a derelict building you have to be careful but talk to her decently.

Kris Williams with the not stop babbling….some things never change. Like Tango and Steve acting like a couple of 7 year olds splashing water on each other and jumping in puddles…there are times when I miss the raw professionalism and unwavering strength of Brain Harnois (thinly veiled sarcasm).

I didn't make it longer then an hour, it was not compelling…except for Josh Gates and Jael….but still not enough to keep me watching

I didn't watch it this year because I was working and since I have other shows I enjoy most I dvred theother shows. After the jacket tug incident I lost 99% of my respect for them. Or if you want my thought of them being legit. If I was off I may have tuned in during trips to the door to hand out candy or in commercial breaks from better shows. So the camera man was zooming in on Jason's daugthers behind? How old is she? Like 16? Geesh.

I think these "live" shows are too boring to watch for very long. I watched about one hour. Jason's daughter is 17 I believe. I guess Kris's behind has got too big for them. HA! I was reading on the SyFy forum that some people were questioning the fact that the show was actually live. They were using the lack of evidence of any snow in the scenes as proof because this area was apparently socked pretty good on Saturday. Does anyone live near here that can confirm or deny any of this? /wacko.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

"They insisted that the victim animals simply had died of dog bites from dogs or other animals. They suggested that disease might have been responsible for one animal's death. They denied that the victims had been exsanguinated, as many witnesses had claimed, and even suggested that the puncture wounds reported might be from barbed wire. Callers reminded them that some wounds were deep enough to reach into the victims' lungs, that the flesh was not torn as in dog bites, that signs of struggles were inexplicably missing, and that corpses did not decay normally, but their arguments were brushed aside. Also brushed aside were callers' attempts to bring extraterrestrials into the conversation.

When the recording ended. I rewound it and played it again and again. I still could not believe what I was hearing. The callers had the skeptics pinned against the ropes from the very first call." - Scott Corrales

The problem with these Halloween live shows is that they are like 6 hours long andf in order to keep the viewer interested something has to be 'found.' Or heard. The normal one hour show is heavily edited.

On a side note I read in one of the Sunday paprer insert magazines that Grant said the reason they film lights out is because its easier on the camera's and nothing to do with adding to the eerie factor. So I guess the post production editing IN of the scaryb music is for the effect of what? To keep the viewer from bumping their shin becasue the show is filmed in the dark?

Sorry, just found it funny. The fact that they bump their shins just made me crack up….and did so again…lol. Clearly the Skiffy budget includes cameras on those stalks (not sure what the technical term is) so they can view their faces while investigating, why can't the turn it outward to show what they are seeing.

I took no offense at the laugh. The shine part was made for that purpose. But hey..how can they say one thing and then do something else (darkness is not meant to be creepy but the add on creepy music is? Along with the wisps of smoke they add on the bottom of the screen before an advertisement footer)?

Camera's facign them is, if I remember right is because Ghost Hunters is suppose to be a show on the hunters not on the ghosts. I guess thats why they rely soly on TAPS video and audio and not on the camera crew….unless its something really scary.

I'm not attempting to start rumors or whatever but can anyone clarify some of this stuff that I'm hearing?

- Is it Jay who's getting a divorce or Grant (or both)?

- Is this divorce anything to do with Kris Williams and if so is that why she was shuttled off to GHI?

- Regarding Kris Williams did I hear that she was involved in some scandal involving drunken behavior that someone leaked on the internet?

It's lazy I know, I could just LOOK on the web to see what's up

I have to look into this more but the little I found said no, Jason is still married to his wife Kris (the story line) Is his wifes name Kris to? Would be funny if it were cause you know…in the middle of being 'together' names get thrown out and its easier if both parties have the same name.

What always made me laugh, and this was brought up when it happened, is when Jay called Kris Williams "sweetie."

Who knows…what is the truth. The internet is full of stories.

I wouldn't doubt if they were divorced, divorcing or having problems. What with his being away for all that time. Then again money and fame can keep people together or drive them apart.

When/if I find more I will add on.

OK…in an "attempt" to adhere to the "fun" in the Thread heading I came across some possible "fake" titles and show info for this "outstanding" reality shows….

OK..here goes…

"Dead Heads" The team travels to a factory in Portland that manufactures port-a-johns to investigate paranormal activity. Factory workers report some strange sounds eminating from their work. Jay and Grant get to use their plumbing experience in summing up what is real from what is not.

NBC and Ghost Hunters Executive producer Craig Piligian along with Jason Hawes are being suied by Larry Montz and Daena Smoller for 'Breach of implied contract' for stealing their idea for Ghost Hunters. Montz and Smoller claim that Ghost Hunters is based on an idea that they pitched to Sci-Fi Channel between 1996 and 2003.

Probably nothing…They'll get a pay off, told to leave through the back door and that will be that.

Maybe I am behind on this or maybe it was said in here and I A) forgot it or /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> never saw it.

But did anyone hear that Grant is leaving Ghost Hunters or that he already left? I haven't watched this show in over a year so I am a little behind in who is on or not.

I don't watch the show anymore, but do catch the end every now and then because I like to watch Face Off, which is on right after GH…and yes, I guess he has left the show…..though will still be on for a while because of pretaped episodes.
