New Fringe this Friday night. Its about time. I was kind of going through withdrawls. I kind of enjoy shows that you really have to follow in order to make sense of. And what I mean follow is one that you have to remember what happened in order for it to make sense. Now I do watch shows that aren't like that, the procederals but they usually have a B story line that morphs into an A story line from time to time but its nice to watch a show that keeps the brain matter busy.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

I wonder if Monk got stuck 'over there.'

They're not sure yet IF it is the last season. But the producers said they will end this season in a way that will make fans happy and in a way to leave open a new season if it is picked up.

On a side note I did e-mail Fox showing my support for this show and Alcatraz. Only thing I forgot to add in the e-amil was that I DVR the shows, which now makes a differance.

Did I miss something last night? Was it a two hour episode where I forgot to DVR the second hour? I mean I thought there was going to be an answer to whether or not the Observers were taken care of. I thought I saw a commercial with Peter and Olivia in a parking garage hugging and being shot at? The ending left a lot of questions and this episode seemed to just be a throw away one just for the 'heck' of it. I just hope it makes sense before the season, if not theseries wraps up.

I'm not sure what episode you watched, but after reading this entry I went and checked out on demand for the show. Basically, they are doing a bunch of jumping around in time. The episode I saw was set in the future and Walter was in amber….is this the same one you watched?

Yeah that was the one. I was waiting for some kick a$$ action to happen with "the team" fighting the Observers. But then all I got were Walter, the female agent, Peter and his daughter going back to Brooklyn on a train. Huh? This is the second time they did a future episode, the last was with Olivia before Peter was taken out of thepresent day loop.

For some reason I think this last episode had elements from the alternate side because of the reversed double F's for the Fringe division on some uniform.

If this is going to be the last season I wish they wouldn't waste time with pointless episodes they know they won't be explaining later on.

….Oh and no mention of an alternate universe…unless I missed something… /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

Which alternate universe are you talking about? Because now they're saying that the Observers have their own universe that they ruined and that's what prompted the future take over, etc…not sure which way this is going, but I agree completely that if this is the last season they need to stock fooling around and get to the point. Now if they're going to take it off that main Fox network, I would certainly hope that FX would pick it up and continue running with it. Not as prestigious, but it's still something and let's not forget that FX has had a couple of hit shows in the past and it does have more of an edge to it.

The Observers destroyed their world in the future not the Universe. Remember that the Observer who saved Peter and Walter from drowning told Peter the Observers were from the future.

Now if I am not mistaken the Alternate Universe had its own set of Observer's. I got the feeling they didn't know anything about the other Observer's in the alternate universe. I guess cause the two differant universes has its own history and time line.

And on a good note: Fringe was picked up for a fifth and final 13 episode season.

The other upside of this is that now with a 5 season, it'll go into syndication which means it'll be seen by a larger audience and perhaps be brought back from the dead…much like family guy.

And I think FG DVD sales also helped alot. Problem with syndication is that the channel syndicating shows don't always run the episodes in order which could cause problems with a show like Fringe. As in showing an episode of the Alternate universe before the charactors know about the alternate universe.

Yeah…the X files (another fox show if I'm not mistaken) never really appeared in syndication did it and that was on the air for almost if not 10 seasons? Let's not forget that Fox does have the FX network and will need programming over there…don't see any reason why they wouldn't go for the gusto…but whatever.

FX seems to be trying as much original programming as it can. Sons of Anarchy, Justified. They tried if I am not mistaken a series about boxing called Lights Out which was pretty good (about a former heavyweight boxer who lost his title and after five years gets talked into going back in the ring for a title match against the guy who beat him or in the boxers mind stole the crown from him)

After watching last nights episode (5/4) I now can understand aspects of the previous weeks episode. Now it really shows the effect of Peter being taken out of the timeline by the Observers. I just hope that what I think is going to happen in the season finale. They filmed at least two or maybe several alternate endings from what I hear because they didn't know if they were going to get picked up.

Once you guys catch up we can talk about what I think I saw and what may happen.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this about Fringe, but I'm beginning to drift dangerously close to the Sea of Apathy. Bell back again? Oh PUH LEEEASE. For me personally, when something becomes less of a joy and starts becoming a chore, it's no longer fun or interesting to me anymore. They ruined the Observers, Walter has become boring, apparently killed off Dr. Jones and Olivia and Peter are having pillow talk about nurseries and children. I'm just about done and it's going to take something completely off the chain to get me back after this season. I'm HUGELY disappointed. I'll probably finish watching the series, but my heart just isn't it anymore.

Yeah I know what you mean. Seems to me that this past season was one of "Lets show what things would have been like if Peter was not in the timeline" was kind of not necessary. I'm still not sure why the producers wanted to go that way with this season when the whole battle between the universes was more interesting. Walternate was really devious in season 3 then turned into a nice guy when Peter was taken out of the time line for season 4 (this season). I am really hoping that somehow the timeline gets re-set to what it was prior to what is going on now. If I am right I think I saw the observer that helped Peter in a comeing attraction for this last episode. Lets see if he reinserts Peter to the point that he dissappeared at the end of last season.

Again, if something more interesting goes up against it, i'll just wait for on demand….hell there was a time when I would do great qoutes from Fringe (Like the one from True Blood) but it's been so long since they've even HAD interesting dialogue that was "qouteable"…..seems like a completely different series. I have to admit that I would like to see an "Astrid" episode that gives us some more details about her and possible ones on Nina from MD and possibly more background on Dr. Jones, but what difference would it make at this point.
