OfflineI'm completely baffled now. Olivia (not to be confused with "Faux-livia from the alternate universe) has never really talked TOO much about her family that I recall, except for these little things: Her mother and father are both dead, her mother more recently and from breast cancer. Olivia was in the military (Army I think) but resigned her commission after having gotten involved in a messy internal investigation that resulted in bringing down one of her commanding officers. She joined the FBI and was sort of brought into Fringe Division for her tenacity and involvement in one of the Fringe events that been being tracked for some time. I got the impression that her father was affiliated w/the military in some capacity as she referred to her time in Jacksonville, Fl as when her father was "stationed" there. She has a sister (not sure whether older or younger) and a niece. There was never any mention of him being a step father or blood. Now in the alternate universe, Faux-livia's mom is still alive, and the sister, I think is dead and there's no niece. No word on whether the father (step or otherwise) is still around. As I mentioned in the previous post, "Faux-livia" has never shown a capacity to be able to traverse the two worlds. The 2 times we've SEEN her do so is when there was the rift between the worlds. We also know about the tank in the alternate universe in the labs that Olivia used to get through. For the record Peter and Walter entered through a "soft" spot that appeared by that lake (yes the same one younger Peter attempted to break through to thinking his world was at the bottom). I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I don't understand how and when the switcheroo happened regarding the 2 Olivias.
I'm baffled now myself… /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> My head hurts. My eyes are bleeding and I'm totally confused. And I started this….lol
It was just a feeling I had at the time of the episode. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Figuring if Peter could stay here what would happen if somehow both Olivia's somehow switched and got stuck in the wrong place.

Well this is getting weird even for Fringe and THAT'S saying something. I hate to see it but it looks like they're trying to wrap up all the loose ends by bringing William Bell back. Strange and I'm saddened.

Yeah I hate to say it to because I did read, where I forgot, local paper maybe, that the producers were preparing for the worst if they didn't get another season. They said they would wrap up everything so as not to leave the fans hanging like so many other shows.
With that said I have to give a shout out to the producers of the now cancelled Life On Mars (American version) who when told they were not being renewed for a seconed season ask for one additional episode to wrap up the show. Which was given and which they did.
OfflineGetting a little tired of the back and forth episodes of the two universes. Wondering iof that had anything to do with low ratings? I can understand that some people have a thing about following or not following, a serializedTV show and keeping up with the plot line. And when the show was actualy changing the universe from week to week I can see a new comer saying "What? Didn't she have blond hair last week?…..*click*"

OfflineY'know it's odd, the people who used to contribute to this thread (who are still here regularly), don't seem to post that much anymore. Looks like it's just you and me nowadays kiddo.

I have 7 episodes on my dvr that I haven't watched yet. I need to get caught up. I saw on the internet that Fringe was picked up for another season, yay. I needed to take a break from watching, I started getting all confused of who was who. I thought I was having either senior moments or blonde moments.

Yep…as reported in the week of April 4 TV Guide….Fringe has been picked up for a 4th season by Fox. So there will be another season of Norcalmonkey having to milk Walters cow.

OfflinePlowed through 3 episodes last night and am now caught up and dying for the season finale! I wish they'd make it a 2 hour or 90 minute episode…and then we wait, AGAIN. Changed my avatar in honor of Agent Broyles tripping his cajones off! The best….I don't what was better, him diving away from Peter after the whole…"you're BALD!" or his slack jawed tripping whistling to the little animated bird on Walter's shoulder…PRICELESS

OfflineSo there was Peter…15 years in the future…with the Freedom tower and a battle going on and a Fringe Division agent…did both worlds merge? Or did we start a bigger Fringe Division? Guess tomorrow nights show will tell.
I can't wait but then it's gonna really bite to wait 6 months or whatever it is for the new season.

OfflineI'm hugely conflicted about Fringe and the Season 3 finale. As a fan who has missed, maybe, one show in 3 years I was left a little disappointed by this episode. Here's what I THINK may have happened. I think the writers crafted an episode specifically to end the series when it looked liked they weren't going to get renewed. When the show WAS renewed I think they had to go back and "punch-up" the finale. In doing so, it seemed a little disjointed . I don't like the introduction of the new family member AT ALL. Did anyone else notice that there was a brand new TAN/BIEGE show intro? I'm not too keen on the direction the show is taking, but am willing to give them a chance next season. But this extension of faith will be short lived if they continue down this road.

First I think the 'opening' was the producers reflecting that the episode mainly took place in the future. Remember that when they did a 80's episode the intro was 80ish and the alternate universe episodes were in red….so I think it was just a one time thing. Secondly I think they did intend to end the show not knowing of its being picked up. thus first killing off Olivia in the future and then 'killing off' Peter in the present. Well sort of killing him off. But I am sure the producers have a plan to bring him back cause its not a show without Olivia, Peter and Walter. Possibly another rogue observer will intervene and get him back from where ever he is.
PS The producers I think said a major charector was going to die…well did they mean the future Olivia aor the diasspearance of Peter at the end. or both or neither….I feel like the two universes merges in my head and its encased in amber….lol
OfflineIts announced that there will be some strange happenings in the next season of Fringe…possible a younger version of Bell and Walter. Crossing over to the alterverse will be easier and Peter will be back. I wish I had the TV guide with me to add more but will next time…

Be on the look out for another JJ Abrams show scifi ish to be based in San Fran…not sure which channel, perhaps that TV Guide will have that info as well?
