OfflineI know the DT will not find anything significant this season or otherwise it would have already been in the news but I do like this show. It has to be one of the best, if not the best, paranormal based shows on TV. The places they visit, the scenery, and even the jokes (Ryder has gotten into the act). You could create a master list of all the fallacies as to what is wrong but the entertainment aspect will keep you watching anyway.
Petra is one of the most remarkable places on earth. They did capture some interesting noises and voices. The one response clearly says "yes" and I don't need the "experts" to tell me that. I don't know the answer as to why "yes" would be provided or even understood in an area where English was not or is the primary language or if this was caused by another anomaly. You knew the lizardman search would lead to nowhere but just seeing the people of Bishopville and the Scape Ore swamp was interesting enough. I loved when Josh was joking about getting into the small plane that had "experimental" on the side and the pilot asked him if he wanted a drink.
Looks like the Easter Island episode next week will be the finale. Hate to see the season end.
OfflineI love it has humor, and Travel. And he is not afraid to say something is not real,or that its a myth..still enough OMG"s And What Was that!! to keep the interest alive. again I enjoy it very much! hated to hear next week was the finial episode for the season.. /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

OfflineI liked this one The shots of Petra were spectacular and Neat sounds were captured, a good mixture of entertainment and adventure as usual, the plane bit was humorous but the one ladies car just looked like someone ran into it during the night or been in an accident to me /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
OfflineWon't find anything?? Come on DoverDemon, Josh found the buttonman!
Seriously though, an entertaining episode as always. Petra is and amazing place. It was fun to see the Lizard man search and Josh's approach to it joining in the fun. Can't believe the season is almost at an end already.
As I posted elsewhere, season four is being filmed so we've got more to look forward to.

Oh yea, the infamous Button Man. That is a pure slice of southern Americana as you can get. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

When the car was shown on MonsterQuest they did a better job of showing the full effect. It was pretty impressive. If it was some type of animal it was awful powerful and there was blood even left. If someone set them up, maybe knowing they were just simple gullible people, they went all out on the effort. You could tell the "tracks" were hoaxed because they looked too perfect. My gut feeling is this creature may have really appeared back in the 80's but has not made an appearance since. /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
OfflineI agree with you DoverDemon. The original sightings are pretty interesting but beyond that I think there's been a lot of hoaxing involved. When you throw in the town's response (which I think is rather good natured) you get thin ground for any kind of valid research.
No shock to find that the tracks were phony. I believe that was obvious from the start because of the neat, uniform pattern.
OfflineI agree that DT is the best show so far and Petra was a good show even though the "YES", sounded suspiciously like Ryder and I think I addressed on this site why English is heard in non English speaking countries. The lizard man episode was equally as interesting especially when they heard the growl.
However, I would watch regardless and like the way they have decided to incorporate the lighter side of their missions as well. I will be there next week for the finale and will wait patiently for next season.

You're right, Petra was very cool. I tended to think that the 'chanting' they heard was probably wind whistling through the place. I went to Barcelona once, and was in my hotel room and heard what I thought was music and I went out onto the balcony and realized it was wind whipping through the wires that ran over head. Same thing happened when the boat we were on in Hawaii rounded a curve and caught the wind and it sounded like music or singing. Maybe the 'yes' was an echo of a dog bark.
Isn't there a DT marathon on tonight? I thought there was.

OfflineI loved the section on Petra. I was amazed at the size of that place and totally fascinated with the history of it.
I told my mom I'm fixing her up with the button man. She wants that toilet so she agreed!
Does it seem that the DT season just started and now it is ending? I'm totally bummed. I love that show!

OfflineGood luck cleaning that toilet. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />
The mysterious "sitting man in the archway" of Petra: Why not show us stills before and after so we can see if the scene changed in a significant way, or it's just the human mind trying too hard to recognise shapes in a scene where no such shape exists.
The power of suggestion is very great, and people will tend to find what they are looking for if they look hard enough. If I told you that your arm was getting itchy then changes are you're going to devote more attention to that area and your brain is going to work overtime trying to make sense of the information coming back from the nerves, making them seem hypersensitive, making your arm… itch.
Honestly, who just scratched their arm?
