OfflinePopped up on radar that Billy Ray Cyrus (fellow "hillbilly")of "Achy Breaky Heart" fame turned tv dad with his daughter Miley on Hannah Montana to new Para-tv series on UFO's tentatively titled "Unbeleivably Freakin' Obvious" . The star has had a long interest in the paranormal and joins the ranks of Jimi Hendrixx, Jim Morrison, Johnny Cash, John Lennon and Stevie Ray Vaughn having an active interest in the UFO phenomena. Thoughts on this development anyone? Will check back tonight after "Sons of Anarchy" priemere.

OfflineLady GaGa claims poltergeist, Rep. Ron Paul, Shirley McClain claim 3k UFO encounters, Ethan Hawke supports gypsy folk, Jack Nicholson's first comment after hearing about Ledger's death in Dark Knight was "I warned him"* , Jimmy Carter UFO experience, UFO's over Crawford Ranch when Pres there, all these para reality shows look to cash in on our field and even folks with legitimate interest (ala Dan Akroyd) are use as vehicles for ratings.
This is same as we saw in the spiritualist movement in the early 1900's when the charlatans muddied the waters of legitimate researcher chasing a buck (a lot of the spirit photographers, seances and such, although are some seemingly legitimate cases that were thrown out with the bad). Blah
As interest piques some celebrities will be brought along (including Sylvia Brown endorsing a blender check out ya late night infomercials) but i always liked BRCyrus (seemed humble and he's hillfolk so he gets a benefit of doubt).

Re Billy … I have no issues with anyone interested in the paranormal field doing a show. Hey, maybe it'll be informative.
