Hubby and I bought tickets and drove to Kansas City to see this. I'm interested to hear some opinions. I was a bit star struck when seeing Ryan Buell, Chad Calek and Sergey in person (only for a minute, though). Anyone go?

Well, the concept of taking their movie on the road and showing it to groups of 100 people was intriguing to me because it had an indie film quality that I liked. The tickets we bought were 60.00 each which were the cheap ones. You could have bought more expensive tickets that included meet and greet, lunch with the guys, etc. The venue that we saw the film in in KC was a hotel's conference room. It was very low key, not as nice as say a Holiday Inn. The a/c was barely working and they had a the room set up with chairs in rows with a projection screen in the front of the room. They had a table in the back to sell hoodies, hats, etc. Ryan spoke briefly about his work on Paranormal State and how he and Chad came to collaborate on this documentary. He was a very good speaker and showed us some film clips and evidence from different cases he had worked on. Got to say though that it all came off a bit too casual. Chad was apparently sick from food poisoning and appeared briefly before the screening looking pretty rough. I know that they are on a bus tour to take the show around the country but I thought they would dress up just a little to look professional. Maybe their intent was to go the other direction and appear as if they just got up off the couch to talk to some people about this stuff. Anyway, that is just my opinion. Well, the movie was pretty good, done in documentary style, not Hollywood style. The editing was all their own doing. A bit melodramatic at times but I applaud their effort. The story is about Chad's childhood growing up in a supposed haunted house and his theories about how it might tie in with the other tragedies in Iowa. I just edited my post because I decided that it wasn't right to share the whole story. When promoting the film, they are very clear about not having cell phones or recording devices so I just feel like it would be cruddy of me to tell the whole story on a public website forum. If you want to know more, just pm me. Anyway, Chad came out again after the film and spoke for a bit, he was obviously sick but answered questions anyway. He looked like he was going to heave the whole time. Ryan came out again after the film and looked like he just came from the gym or out of bed. I guess they have to catch their zzz's in between sets or something. The other guys talked some too and the discussion lasted about a half hour. On the way out I shook Sergey's hand, he's a sweetie. Overall, I like that they didn't sell out to Hollywood and kept control of how the film would be made and released. I hope that the exposure of Chad's family will not have a negative effect and that some good may come of it. They all seemed like good guys and I'm sure they will release the dvd once the tour is over so everyone can watch it.

I have also seen a screening at an event last year. I thought it was quite well done. It certainly brave of Chad (imho) to display such intimate aspects of his family to strangers. I hope Chad is feeling better, but I believe the tour is currently winding down anyway.

Reignstorm, thanks for commenting. I don't think that we saw the same screening because this one just started this summer (June 2nd) and was billed as new. Perhaps, he had released some footage last year before they decided to make this production in complete. I agree about it being a display of very intimate aspects of his family. I, personally, would not be able to put my family's business out there for the public. Of course, it could have a positive effect on folks that suffered similarly. So, perhaps it will be worth it in that sense. This tour goes all the way thru the fall (Sept. 14th) so there are plenty of opportunities to attend if anyone is interested. Here is a link for the AGH with tour dates and locations: http://www.aghthemovie.com/

They are also on facebook if you use that. Just type in "American Ghost Hunter The Movie" into the fb searchbar.

I could ask Chad, but I'd be willing to wager it was pretty close to the perhaps more polished movie they are touring with. It was at an AGH event and there was a private screening. It was great to read Chad's interview on the movie and it's history….in Paranormal Underground!!!

That WAS a great interview in the PUG magazine and the main reason I decided to pay to go to this event.

PUG RULES!!!!!

World domination was always one of our goals here at Paranormal Underground.

Now, we just need to get the rest of the world to admit to that fact.

I thought you guys already ruled the world? /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

When are the PUG Head t-shirts coming out? /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

The above are my opinions.
