A local TV show in New Hampshire is doing an episode on The Spalding Inn tonight.

this is the write up on it…

Tonight we venture north to a place where a couple of famous guys from the Syfy channel are getting their holidays all mixed up. Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, the paranormal investigating stars of the hit show "Ghost Hunters" have added the title of "innkeeper" to their resumes. They purchased the Spalding Inn in Whitefield which they say is, of course, haunted. Join us as we turn out the lights in search of the real deal and have a very merry and haunted Christmas with Jason and Grant.

okay, just watched the show

notes on the show…

OMG! this is great…

Jason and Grant said they always wanted to own a haunted place,

giving the impression they bought it because it was haunted. i thought

they said they DIDNT know it was haunted when they bought it.

Grant said we only see 2% of what an investigation is on GH and they

feel it's their responsibility to teach people how to do a proper

investigation (the show is about one of their "events" )

Britt told the people that 95% of things should be able to be debunked.

if a group tells you they always find activity dont believe them. ummm,

did he talk to J&G before he said that? I guess he hasnt seen how often

they find things on GH /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

they are talking to a ghost with the KII.

the ghost counted how many people were in the room

by lighting the KII for each person there haha.

Their responsibility. Had to chuckle at that one. Their responsibility is sitting in the bank right now, gaining interest. Couple more events to showcase their "responsibility" and J and G can finally afford a swimming pool for the Spalding that would make Clark Griswold envious. Ugh. The nerve of these guys to call the fleecing of their diehard supporters a "responsibility".

I know, I actually laughed out loud when Grant said that it was their responsibility /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Now I am glad I went to my kids school event and missed it.

What is really sad is their "Fans", what you called supporters. They will still defend them with their dying breath and can't see they are being taken advantage of.

What I mean by taking advantage goes beyond charging for nothing. Their ideas, methods, etc, border on the ridiculous at times and their constant "Debunking", grinds my gears. They have even made me hate the word. LOL They always seem to find a rattling pipe to explain activity. Doesn't that just show they are plumbers instead of ghost hunters? I am sure I too could go into any situation and find an alternate explanation for whatever was reported.

I am also sick of hearing them tell everyone that EMF's cause hallucinations, rashes, and every other ailment under the sun. The studies in this area are for those who live in close proximity to those high tension wire towers and are exposed to severe high voltage and there has been no scientific proof that it has any adverse effects like are being claimed. Geeeez! Maybe they should research their science instead of the houses they go to. What's worse is now they have TV show teaching people how to do everything wrong. So let me get this straight. The bottom line is, their responsibility is to get the naive public to accept their bunk so they can get paid?

Uh, oh! Now I've rufffled some fans feathers…

I hate the word debunk, too, but mainly from a semantics point. It means to expose while ridiculing, especially of pretentious or false claims and ideas. If I were a homeowner and someone came to debunk my experiences in my home, I would be insulted by that. Certainly there is a better word??

About high EMF – Jim works at a power plant with the main power grid running from it. There is a switch yard with high tension wires. One of these days when I feel up to wearing steel toed boots, a hard hat and goggles, I want to go spend a bit of time standing under them and see how I feel.

Cool! Let us know and be careful. I started a Debunk thread under the debate forum. Come on over…

I worked in a building some time ago for about 4 years that was surrounded on a few sides by high-tension wire.

Quite a few people who spent a significant time in the building developed or died from cancer. Rumors were swirling about the wires being the cause, so the company called in someone to measure the effects of the wires. The conclusion was that the wires were not harmful to the people in the building.

Oh, and I did not see this show. Sorry!
